can't see fed dropping a set in WTF

cannot see him dropping a set. he is back to his good old form, and has finally come full circle, just in time for AO again.

I can't see how, in four years on this forum, you have not learned much about the vagaries of tennis, the problem of matchups, variability of form, effect of wear-and-tear on the body, and so on.

To make that prediction about a player in the twilight of his career is, frankly, wishful thinking.

i swear, people on this board are stupid. either they're superstitius trolls who try to jinx (as if that would work) or they are stupid beyond what i can imagine.

2010 Fed plays at a awesome level and then once in awhile he goes out there and plays like he has taken a Xanax or something. Errors, poor serving, slow footwork, poor timing.

I hope you are right though Halba.

it's particularly strange because fed hasn't played that well in the WTF thus far. He has won easily his both matches but he hasn't played great tennis in any of them.

he was moving well against Murry - very well

not that well, imo. he still made a lot of UE and his first serve % was atypically low. It was just that Murray was playing so badly that things were too easy for Fed. all in all, it is easy for Fed to look good when his opponent is making almost all the errors and not putting Fed in any pressure situations.

Today was the worst display of tennis I've seen from Andy Murray in my entire life.

I agree with you Fed was moving well. Anytime he beats Murray he is playing very well. Murray made many errors but was running Fed from side to side and was definitely testing him. Fed always makes his shots look easy when they are difficult to execute.

'Brave ' prediction.
IMO he played a very smart match today.
If he plays a guy like Nole or Rafa i am not that sure he will have the time to dictate play as he did today. In fact i think he wont be able to stave off their charges. If he win this tourny i would be happy but to think he would sans set loss , well ...thats stretching it IMO

He only made 10 UEs in that match. That was probably his cleanest match since the AO.

Plus, Murray looked bad in large part because Federer was consistently out-lasting him in rallies IMO.

I was skeptical about Federer doing anything worthwhile this year at the WTF, but he's been simply stellar all week. I can't see him losing at this point.

Did you not notice all the break opportunities he did not convert. Like 0-40 in the second set.
He won't be having such luck with Nadal.

And the number of times Joker had a BP - Rafa won't be mucking those up.

Anyway, has anyone else noticed that Halba usually starts a trollish thread and then doesn't post at all. Only this time, he's come back just to gloat.

Does he use another account for day to day trolling ?????
