Chris, have a question for you

I am using the babolat pure drive roddick gt plus (after reading your review) and i love it, most powerful and spin friendly racket i've ever tried. currently string it with signum pro poly plasma 16 at 53 lbs .

Did you find that when you got the racket strung below 50 with poly the vibration would be really harsh and wouldn't sound like clean i guess because i did full poly at 48 and it sounded awful like that...

anyhow i was wondering in your opinion what the most spin friendly string i could put on this racket would be and at what tension.

also, do you know the differences in playability between polyfibre tcs, hexablade, and black venom...

thank you for your time

Why would you bother HE Chris when many other people here can answer your questions?:)

1. 99% of spin production is a function of your swing/technique
2. more tension = more spin (ceteris paribus)

Your are welcome :)

I never strung the PDR below 50lbs. I was around 62lbs when using that racquet. I had mine weighted up to around 13 ounces and the higher tension helped control the power of the weight. Comfort was decent -- probably due to all the weight.

TCS - Great spin. The 16g is by far the best. It plays soft and feels great, then the tension drops out and you have to restring it. I can string it on a Friday and play all weekend for a tournament, but I'm cutting it out early in the next week if it hasn't broken.

Black Venom is lower powered for me. If you like to take really big cuts at the ball or are looking to take some of the pop out of your PDR, it is the way to go.

Hexablade rocks. Love the spin, control and feel of it and it has just the right amount of pop. Tension holds ok.

Hope that helps and sorry for the late reply.
