Can someone tell me whats going on with Roddick. Ever since Miami he has played like crap, and then after 2 bad tourneys he pulls out of Toronto. Normally id like that draw for Roddick but now im scared for him.

so im guessing that outcome of this tournament has no affect on the top 3 rankings?
Depends. Nadal will be #1 no matter what, but (depending on what happens in Toronto)...

Djokovic-worst case: 7085 points before Cincy, 6485 afterwards
Djokovic-best case: 7725 points before Cincy, 8125 afterwards
Federer-worst case: 6975 points before Cincy, 5975 afterwards
Federer-best case: 7615 points before Cincy, 7615 afterwards
Murray-worst case: 4665 points before Cincy, 4305 afterwards
Murray-best case: 5305 points before Cincy, 5945 afterwards
Soderling-worst case: 4830 points before Cincy, 4820 afterwards
Soderling-best case: 4830 points before Cincy, 5820 afterwards
Berdych-worst case: 3950 before Cincy, 3770 afterwards
Berdych-best case: 3950 before Cincy, 4770 afterwards

Lots of possibilities, but in particular:

If Djokovic wins Toronto, he will be the #2 seed going into USO no matter what happens in Cincy.
If Djokovic reaches the Toronto final, Federer must win Cincy AND hope for Djokovic to have a QF exit in order to be #1

So Federer had better win today if he wants that #2 seed.

You guess wrong mate. 2nd and 3rd seeds for the USO will be determined @ Cincy.

Maybe even the 4th and 5th? Or is that not that case anymore? I've not kept up lately.

I'm so, so excited for the Real Slam Looks like the temperature's going to drop a little and I've bought tickets under the new covered area, so I won't get sunburned! Last year in Cincy I got burned so badly... but the tennis was fun. I've never seen Nadal/Federer play each other, so please happen this year.

Yep, you're right - 4th and 5th seeds also up for grabs.

At this point, it's a two-way battle for the 2nd seed between Fed and Nole and another one for the 4th seed between Murray and Soderling.

You should have put today as a deadline for the poll, as the two guys in the F tomorrow won't work too hard in Cincy, I'll tell you :)

Sweet, it seems as though we're gonna have another Fedal match next week. Great

Also, Novak has Soderling and Nalbandian in his part of the draw, so he should go out early.

Tennis wins. Yes.

Fedal matches get boring now. I'm much more excited at the prospect of a Murray - Djokovic match up.

I hope Rafa doesn't withdraw. This loss wont matter too much if I see him play in a couple of days.

Nalbandian has the tough draw here. Lubjicic and then Isner for a 1st/2nd round? Sorry, I don't see him working his magic here.

Good. Time for Roger to have a losing head to head with Nadal on hard courts, and an equal head to head with Nadal on non clay surfaces, squashing more the desperate counterarguments of *******s about Nadal owning Federer in head to head.

Why would Rafa withdraw???
I'm glad they're in the same side of the draw but I agree there is no guarantee either of them will make it that far.

You going to Cincy? Me too! I'm hoping the same thing. Please, don't withdraw. Just get a few matches and then go home to Mallorca to fine tune your game. That's what I want.

I'm pretty sure Nadal stays in the U.S. between Cincinnati and the U.S. Open like most of the European players do.

He had a mild case of mono, which is why he was complaining of being tired in that one match. The doctor said he's over it, and he's supposed to play in Cincinnati, but he probably won't be 100% ready.

They flashed it on the ESPN ticker.

Head to head means nothing in a tournament sport. Get over it already.

Kind draw for Murray......

Djoker finally gets a tough one. And Rafa's isn't too easy either.

Looking at the draw, I think Fed and Murray will roll. I'd be stunned if Djoker sniffed the SF this time looking at that nasty draw.

I'll take Murray to go back to back and win Cincy.

Really?

Guess I'll go hang out at some of the restaurants out in Mason. Order me some water and watch the doors for incoming tennis players.

A newbie need help here.

I'm thinking to get a single session ticket for the morning matches on Wed or Thursday (if they still have tickets available).

1. How many matches this ticket cover?
2. Is it only for 1 court only or can we move from one court to another?
3. If I come early enough, can I walk around? I'm hoping I can see players doing some practices.

Any other advices you guys can give me, I really appreciate it. Thanks!
