Ok boys and girls.... your help is needed.

Give me some examples of things you eat:
1) Day BEFORE a big match
2) Morning/Lunch of a big match
3) On the court/moments before big match (like in the car or something)
4) AFTER the big match

Lets get this done!

I will start with:
1) spaghetti or something the night before
2) Cereal or some bread
3) Stupid energy jelly beans ( i hope that they help) and a banana
4) Whatever the f*** i want

Please and thank you for your posts

Funny thing you mention the jelly beans, I use those too right before a match to give me small energy boost to start and it works for me. I get the Jelly Belly energy beans with caffeine and also the ones without caffeine. One of my friends at the club introduced me to it.

I also eat some pasta the night before and a banana the morning of the match to get something in my stomach and hydrate well the night before the match. Basically drink water until my pee clears up and drink during each crossover no matter what.

4) AFTER the big match

1) Hard Boiled Egg (with light dips of salt) + Raw Egg (my immune system ****s salmonella in the ***)

2) Spaghetti or Enchiladas or Burritos (some Italian or Mexican foods because they contain a lot of carbohydrates)

3) Banana, Gatorade

4) If I lose - Chocolate Cake with Tears
|| If I win - Rice Wine & Steamed Dumplings boiled from my Sweat

#4 is obviously just a celebratory meal, but the first 3 are benficial:

1. Hard Boiled Egg (tastes good) + Salt = raised sodium levels
2. Raw Egg = Many chemicals formed my living organisms cannot be reproduced in the lab, or if they can not very easily so consuming a Raw Egg is like consuming a complex organism that eventually breaks down to give your body nutrients. Also, I don't really care about salmonella, I've been eating raw eggs and other exotic meals for awhile.

3. Banana = Fibers + Potassium

4. Gatorade = More Sodium (& Energy)

Benefits? With your raised sodium levels from all of the above your body will want faster water intake and allows you to drink heavy amounts of water without getting dizzy from drinking too much water.

1. Right before bed I always eat peanut butter and cottage cheese but for dinner will be some kind of complex carb.

2. Depends on time. Complex carb like oats or cereal, low in fat and some protein like eggs maybe (match must be a couple hours away), chicken, or something.

3. Banana and maybe fruit juice if I feel I do not have enough carbs or some fruit.

4. Simple carbs, always love this meal. Maybe some kind of dessert at home or a white bagel usually with some protein source as well.

No big match, but this applied to every tennis session for me in the past week:
1) Jager and Jose Cuervo straight up
2) Toast and lots and lots of water for the hangover
3) All of the Red Bull within my reach
4) Anything I can find in the fridge, which was either Twinkie or a chocolate bar
