I like a crisp feel, but I avoid poly strings. Since I string my own gear, it's not a big deal if let's say a less durable 17 ga. option gives me nice feel and performance, since it's easy and cheap for me to replace it.
I've used Gosen OGSM in both 16 and 17 ga. and that stuff works relatively well, but I've also enjoyed Tecnifibre syn. gut lately in my racquets and for a couple of my kids (kids that I coach). This string gets my vote for a nice crisp feel. While Gosen isn't as "clunky" feeling as Prince SG with Duraflex (I'm not fond of that string), there seems to be a degree of "thud" in the OGSM that I don't feel with the Tecnifibre string.
In any case, I think that it's easier to get a crisp feel with a thinner string at a little higher tension, but that's not as feasible if you're paying a stringer to take care of your habit. If you string at home, thinner syn. guts usually deliver just fine. While I often prefer the thinner stuff, I'll note that I've been using the 16 ga. Tecnifibre syn. gut and loving it.
