Nole didn't want to play the doubles because he never does and didn't want to look stupid.

It was a very poor and weird choice though. When I saw that decision it was clear that the Czech's would win. No way was Lajovic beating Step in the singles rubber.

Classless Stepanek. Rubbing it in instead of enjoying the victory.

Nothing new.

Sorry, but you are wrong. Stepanek was just saying the truth. Leaving out Djokovic from the doubles play is a wrong decision. Stepanek was not rubbing it in. Please, don't disrespect Stepanek. He's one of only few people who are great s/v players. He's saying it, as a matter of fact. You are wrong Chico. Sorry.....

Djokovic career record in doubles: 33–46 (41.77%)

Obviously this is only a stat but Nole is not a great doubles player.

I hope Djokovic doesn't bother playing Davis Cup in 2014.

Round 1 and a QF could only hinder his chances of winning Roland Garros.

Novak would have lost the doubles anyway, Berdych/Stepanek in doubles = too solid.

The real mistake was to chose hardcourt instead of clay ?

Well I know Vesely is a great clay player anyway, would have kicked the butt of Lajovic, even Tipsarevic would lose to Vesely on clay i think :p

Chico Radek is saying that Djokovic "The Top of the range Ferrari" (the/one of the best in the world) is kept in the "garage" (Sidelines) when he should have played....He was basically calling Novak the gem, the shining Diamond of the team.

Breaker

Bozo/Zimonjic beat the Bryans to set Serbia up to even get to the semis and also were extremely close to beating Nestor/Pospisil in the semis who are a good team themselves. They've proven themselves as a very good doubles team while Djokovic has never proven himself to be a good doubles player, clearly the Serbian captain felt the same way.

Probably this.

By the way I saw nobody mentionning that (when i was banned :D)

2010: Berdych/Stepanek d. Djokovic/Zimonjic 6/1 6/3 6/1
