Dead polys

I'm having trouble telling when my poly strings are "dead." I am unsure of whether I am just playing poorly or if it is the string that is contributing to that. So, besides comfort and how he string plays, what other indicators are there of dead polys? If they are not snapping back, are they dead?

Thanks!

Here's a great explanation from our own Chris Edwards on how/why tennis strings go dead. You could also explore our TW University site and check out the articles our TW Professor has written on the topic as well.
