He can now go home and cuddle them all. If all else fails, just remember tomorrow if you failed an exam or screw up a job interview, Rogi would not be sad for you. So there!

Edit: It's missing the last AO. Fed fans need to get on their job and update it!

Lol so true. Here I am upset about tennis match when I have to relearn 3 courses worth of organic chemistry.

Btw here is the updated picture. You could not find it because it is hidden from everyone except ****s. Only a true **** can find it on google.

I don't think this loss hurt that much, I'm very glad for Jo and the way he plays this grass season overall, I like both his game and personality. It's nice to see his game really click in another big tourney after 2008 AO.

And to be honest the way they both played in the last 3 sets, Jo clearly deserved to win, he was the aggressor, the one taking his chances, the one play grasscourt tennis as it(in my mind) should be.

While I wholeheartedly agree with your last sentence - Tsonga ended up being the more brave one and deserved to win....

I'm still checking in.

But this always cheers me up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOKptwpu--0 :D

Incase anyone cares, the song in the background is "Primavera" by Ludovico Einaudi. Dang I love that piece of music.

I'm not depressed - still somewhat shocked.

I won the ballot and got tickets for the men's SF. Saw Roger's R16 win and the matchup with Tsonga and expected Roger to get thru. Flew in and checked into my room Wed just as the 5th set started. Tsonga, like Berdych last yr, just got hot at the right (wrong?) time - big guys can hit guys off the court - it happens.

And I'm still going to see two awesome SFs - we're guaranteed 1 new finalist. And quite possibly a new Wimbledon champion. And if Murray can pull it off, I'll be happy for my British friends. The one who is going with tomorrow can barely contain himself.

PS - I'm still wearing my red RF hat and Roger's '06 shirt.

Pretty depressing for your friend. Murray doesn't have much of a chance against Nadal.

I am a Fed fan and I am pretty sure he will never win another major. Well maybe if the rare chance that Nadal, Djokovic, Murray and Del Potro are eliminated first.

Lighten up guys, the US Open is still up for grabs, as is Calendar Slam 2012 + London Olympics, as well as the 2016 and 2020 Olympics, do I need to continue here?

Exactly! We must reference the Eagle thread to discuss strategies to win all these tournaments! Steffi was the only one to win the Golden Slam right? Why can Rogi? Golden slam, Golden Eagle...makes sense.

Totally, can you confirm that 2016 and 2020 Olympics are on hardcourts and clay, that would totally be like a triple super-olympic triple gold grandest slam all time, all surface, and all court, and so like Pokemon Music/SoulSilver & Ruby, don't even get me started about 2024..

I don't understand why people are being so butthurt over this.

Tsonga played a brilliant match and won.

Berdych last year didn't even play that well and won in 4. That match was much sadder for a Fed fan. Or should be.

The tennis community has some really random emotional breakdowns.

Maybe you can't see the slight-sarcasm and exaggeration of the soul wrenching suffering in many the posters on this thread.

I am depressed and need a shoulder to cry on. I can't take watching such a great player get old.

You have nothing to be depressed about. Look what your icon has won and remember all the good bits and who says this is the end - maybe he needs a good rest

I'm not depressed. I'm disappointed. But hey, life goes on. Hope Roger has inspired some kids who can come back and give us a glimpse of the past in the future.

It's the other way actually. I think you're missing out on how some of the posters in here are actually dead serious about this.

Now even more depressed...that Murray lost. Oh well I guess it is inevitable that Nadal will catch up in slam ammount, and if Djokovic wins. Who knows even that guy might win 18 slams!

I am still happy for Federer, he's healthy and he's playing well. He just got beaten by someone on fire that day. He'll be back.

Hasta la vista (sp ??)

I posted this in the Federer new thread, but I don't think anyone will see it due to the thread being eclipsed by the superior, and far more popular Nadal thread ;) http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x9kk2j_y-pleure-roger_people

It's called Y pleure Roger. Basically, it's a little boy who confuses Fed's tears of joy from winning the French with those of sadness/pain. It's in French, but still pretty cute. :)

Oh man, I wasn't even sad. But for some reason seeing this video and thinking how unfortunate it is for Fed to not be winning big titles and making these kids, such young fans happier, now that is touching me a little bit right now.
