Solstice black characteristics sound just like Volkl Cyclone Tour 16. Both reviewers complained of loss of tension after the first session. Not a bad thing if you like VCT.

i just emailed them the same thing yesterday, they told me avg unstrung sw of 285 and 290, respectively

Wow that seems light. Both of my E FS came in around 292. Glad they did as it only took a few grams to get a solid SW. I think a few others on the holic thread were same as mine.

@Power Player - wasn’t your elevate around 292 unstrung also?

i may or may not have several Elevate Tour FS on the way. the standard model was a bit too flexy for my preferences, so the stiffer Tour model stood out. we'll see how that experiment goes.

My Elevate FS came in at 299 SW - way over spec. It's disappointing as I really like the feel and string pattern and it would have been a contender if it had been nearer to the advertised swingweight. @DiademSports please be careful not to send out frames this far over spec as the foam filling already makes it swing more slowly. The reason I chose the Elevate FS in the first place was because it (supposedly) has a foam filling and low swingweight.
Please be the first in the industry to allow customers to choose from a range of swingweights. Arguably swingweight is the most important variable when choosing a racket.
