Did Nadal do Djokovic a HUGE favour by beating Federer?

Tennis is all about match-ups and Federer has always shown to be a very difficult and dangerous opponent against Djokovic. Looking at their history in Slam meetings, Federer almost always pushing Djokovic to his limits and a few times even having match points (USO 10-11) along with the Roland Garros '11 win.
Do you think Djokovic had a sigh of relief that Nadal did him the favour this time? Especially considering the scary form Federer looked to be in prior to the semifinals, displaying a very aggressive baseline style which is the style that gives Djokovic massive problems?
We haven't seen Djokovic/Federer in a Slam final but I'm pretty sure Federer would've relished a Djokovic match as opposed to a Nadal match, style-wise.
You think Djokovic much rather preferred Nadal to be in the finals as it seems Nada's style suits him more?

LOL. The last two times Federer played Djokovic here, he was straight setted. This surface favors Djokovic a whole lot more.

That would have been a straigh set crushing had Federer played Djokovic. Lucky for Federer, he drew Nadal.

Did Murray do a HUGE favour by weakening Djokovic?

Djokovic is not going to be worn out. He showed time again last year that fatigue isn't going to stop him when it matters.

I don't know if taking Federer out was a huge favor because I think to Novak, Murray may have been a bigger threat. Roger lost to Novak in straights in their last two meetings on this AO surface. Though, I'm sure Nole is relieved he doesn't have to play Roger.

You better believe from 3-3 in the first set he's going to be acting like it though. Im already fully prepared for him to zombie his way around the court looking tired to make his win more special.

I don't know if he really is faking, but to me, he's always looked to be the more frail one. In their US Open match last year, I thought for sure Nadal was going to win in 5 after the third set, because Djokovic looked spent. If you had told me he was going to win the next set 6-1, I would have never believed you.

He "looks" tired, but he sure isn't the one that's going to be fatigued first.

Bro, I hate to say this but, Rafa's going to win. He is on something right now that is allowing him to maintain abnormally high/almost-unsafe aggression levels. It goes beyond his unbreakable will and rock-star retrieving/counterpunching skills. No, there is something extra going on inside his body, I am nearly certain.

After his semis match, he was interviewed by Courier on court. Rafa's body language was that of someone with greatly heightened agitation levels. Maybe he does not enjoy Courier because Rafa was standing in Courier's personal space, was facing Courier nearly full-on and squarely with hands slightly elevated by his side, and his posture was very very erect. But then I caught a look into Rafa's eyes and couldn't believe the thought that occurred to me: "Those eyes, he looks like. . .like a. . .a tweaker."

So, I believe Rafa is on something that is artificially boosting his aggression levels. Stamina for running all day is one thing, he's always had this. But there was a decided edginess, a kind of nervousness--like he was fighting to keep a straight face--to that man, and he had just punched his ticket to the finals, so maybe I was half expecting him to look happy not the way he did.

This is hilarious . Nadal is hyper, but he is otherwise a gentle type and far from being a tweaker.

Come on Novak, be a little original and develop your own mind games. Winning despite being on your deathbed is a trade mark of Nadal.

You're kidding right? the last 2 times Djoko played Fed at AO, he beat him in straight sets. Djoko has struggled against Fed at USO, not at AO.

True, Djokovic could be said to be dominant at the Australian Open if he wins tomorrow. That would be 3 of the last 5.
