Djoko screaming at the ball kid...

Not sure if he was really yelling at him as if he was blaming the boy. He was frustrated and showed it. Is that such a big deal?

Rafa and Fed might be sore losers sometimes but I just don't see this kinda thing from them

thing with Djoker is, he's all happy smiley and kumbaya when out of the court but then sometimes this ugliness comes out on the court, as if to reveal a hidden side to him

Nadal is all bottled up and takes it all on himself (unfortunately for him) but Federer absolutely has outbursts of negative emotions. It's actually normal.

Ballboys should go on strike, and stop serving him. Anyway this towel thing is just disgusting. Why teenagers have to contact with sweaty awful stinking towels of strangers is beyond me.

Lol at anyone trying to defend this behavior. He's a grown @SS man yelling at a kid to bring him his sweat rag. And to add insult to inury he was already up a set and a break. It's not like he was getting blown off the court or mugging it up out there.

Everyone does from time to time, but Djokovic does very often. Let's not kid ourselves.
This thread is actually about no-event. yelling at your own box in frustration is normal after such stupid miss. How often does Novak scare ball kids? He's just dragged through mud endlessly for every single outburst. He even ate crow and went and apologized to the ball boy several years ago.

Some things you can't defend. I'm a fan of Kyrgios and his actions the other night were over the top and a fine was exactly what he needed. See, it isn't that hard.

Couldnt see how he took the towel from the ball kid. Did he violently snatch at it or casually reach?

It shows that the smiley guy is fake. I mean even if he didn't have these anger spasms, it was still obvious that his happy moments are fake based on the smile (usually condescending) on his face. It reveals a lot, not genuine at all.

If Novak did a tiny part of Kyrgios BS, he'd be feathered and tarred. Just no connection between two, sorry.

He is like serena, the nicest guy on earth when he wins, super negative when he loses

No one does what Kyrgios does. That's not the point and it doesn't excuse Djokovic from criticism for his actions. It's not ok to yell at other people's children in this type of setting. It's not like he's baby sitting and the kids screwed up or did something dangerous to provoke him. It's a kid with a towel waiting hand and foot on a frickin millionaire.

He wasn't yelling for towel. That's not what he says and what he gesticulates. Not even where he's looking. I'm done replying to this thread anyway. Seen this diarrhea circle jerk too many times. Have fun.

Novak's graciousness is akin to Nadal's humbleness. Humbalito didn't just come out of nowhere, it was exposed in 2011 by none other than Mr. Gracious himself :)

He's clearly looking up at his box and yelling in frustration. It doesn't even sound like he's saying towel although he's signaling for it with his hands. Another overblown situation from TTW as if it's the worst thing they've ever seen and can't finish their day.

It always pains me whenever he does something like this. It's not mean spirited, he just struggles to control his frustration. Guess his peace and love guru nonsense during the Pepe Imaz era was useless.

It's funny that it's brought up by this particular Nadal fan on a social media though. He acts like it's just an objective observation but it's obivous he has a hidden agenda.

I get pretty mad sometimes so I can understand where he's coming from. However, I try to contain my anger to myself. It's not a good idea to involve other people in it. It could be that he's not yelling "towel", though.
As I person with anger management issues myself, I can understand this. Though I don't think he does have anger management issues. He is just fiery sometimes. It doesn't look good when he does this I have to admit as a Novak fan.

Yeah, it's not like he has anger problems. He's just a bit more susceptible to losing his temper. Agree with your statement.

What a monster. Definitely ranks alongside the crimes of humanity's worst criminals like Mao, Stalin, and Pol Pot.
Meanwhile, in the real world where people have lives this is considered normal for a top athlete.

Haha, yes!

Or just stay in position and shout NOOOOO! as loud as possible (y)

All these boys and girls are like miniature Gandhis out there... in a world of spoilt children in adult bodies.
There is that one really big ball kid in this tournament . He's 2x the size of Nole.

Oh please. You are not qualified to speak for everyone, especially when you have misinterpreted the situation.

Yes, he simultaneously yelled 'towel' while being angry for missing a shot. Better to not do this of course. But one would hope these kids have gotten some instructions that the players are often so focused on their professions that things said in the heat of the moment are not personally directed at them. Players also do not say 'thank you' every time a towel or ball is handed to a player. While obviously little humans, they are basically there to serve the players. I doubt they only get trained in how to roll balls...
I can vouch for his credentials. He is well-qualified and speaks for all in his country.
"trained to serve" not trained to take verbal abuse.
Djokovic is in the U.S. where people have fragile feelings and could end up doing something horrible years later. His shouting at the ball person could trigger that.

At least these ballkids are under 21 yr of age. In Ohio

He will always will be remembered as fake and an a-hole.
Frustrated excuse? When under pressure, a person's true behavior comes out.
Kyrios should start talking about Djokovic's treatment of ballkids on social media.

Djokovic can't lose even a set without spazxing out and serb raging, i don't know why he persists with this fake "love" persona its utterly cringe, just as gyros said. If novak just embraced being a heel, and villain, he'd be far more popular.
