Djokovic another surgery news

If Novak is injured, he might not want to leap onto the surgeons table immediately. He might want to see if taking some time off might be enough to heal his injury. Sure there are some year-end tournies, but frankly the main part of the tennis season is over. Depending on the injury, avoiding surgery, if possible, seems to be the wiser choice. Not all surgeries work in the way intended.

Novak is my second favorite. I sure enjoy watching him play.

He tried this with the elbow and it was costly. If it is a minor surgery which it looks to be, get it done instead of having a fiasco like the elbow issue.

Sure he wasted a lot of time with his Elbow injury but he shouldn't jump the gun and do a surgery immediately. He should take multiple expert opinion. Year End Number, be damned. I don't care ...

Stan was the better player that day, not sure why he cannot accept that

People who condemn/judge any of these guys as "pretending" to have injuries -whether it is Novak or Rafa or Fed - are just simply slandering men who are beyond world-class ATG athletes & who've proven their mettle time and time and time again.

I'm a Fed fan first through and through, but - literally - no one knows their body except the person living in it - and I would take Novak's word over anyone here (or anywhere) on his injury/health.

It doesn't mean I know what's going on any more than anyone else, but he deserves respect and basic human decency - and essentially calling him a liar with no proof is not that. It's transparently baseless and mean.

Novak should get the surgery and take off as much time as he needs to heal 100% and enjoy time with his family. He has plenty of money and if Nadal starts racking up more slam titles because of it, so what. Ones health and family is most important. He's made enough money to take care of his family for many generations to come.

I reckon it's time for good ole' Nole to hang up his racket and call it quits. He has a remarkable career to reflect on, while he's drinking cocktails lemonade in his mansion in Monaco.

once you got it you have it forever
Fair enough, feel almost convinced.

Have you ever heard something about that bizarre stuff called 'medicine'?
I tell you, it's amazing. It can even fix something which is not working inside your body! For good.

Novak is great, but he aint getting back to slam winning form by AO, if he is having surgery. Maybe by RG ;)

Roger has the biggest chance of capitalizing on the next 6 months on tour ;)

So your prediction is based on a hypothetical scenario.

YE #1 seems lost so this is the right time to get it I guess so he can try to peak for AO next year.

Didn't know it was that serious.

Is it sure ?

In theory, if he wins the masters cup, he can add 1000 points to the ones won last year as a finalist vs Zverev.

It might be close, but it's still doable.

It worries me that he’s still being so secretive. I hope it doesn’t mean his shoulder is still an issue.

If he actually plans to play a 500 tournament (and so far I didn't hear any news about him withdrawing) then I guess he is fine.

He could still withdraw because of his shoulder (actually that’s what he should do even if he’s not injured anymore). That’s dumb to risk his health for an ATP 500 event.

This year was the first time when he decided to limit his schedule a bit. It surprises me that he wants to play a 500 tournament.

He certainly seems to be playing it all down so as not to anger anyone. Got a feeling he‘s trying to show he‘ll do his best do honor all of his commitments even if he knows it‘s almost impossible he can play them all. It was just yesterday that he said his injury is more serious than he expected and that he hasn‘t even stepped on a tennis court since his withdrawal from the USO...

I mean he basically said it’s not that bad and that he’ll be back soon. Returning in 2 weeks doesn’t suggest any major problem to me. I think he’ll push really hard for YE1, he doesn’t want Nadal to get it or give up his chase for Roger’s weeks at number 1 record.
