I agree, but it's still luck to an extent. You make your own luck in this game. Djokovic certainly did that against Federer in the big matches. He went for his shots when down match points or sets.

Definitely. Novak admits this but is a mix of a bit of luck and bravery when on the brink of defeat.I agree, but it's still luck to an extent.
Rafa must have been embarrassing if he couldn’t win a single one during this vacuum era lol.Djokovic: I had “a bit of luck”
Dude that's half of your career at Wimbledon lol. Opponents choking & vacuum of actual competition outside of a dinosaur Roger.
Much like RG.Djokovic: I had “a bit of luck”

I mean he was but the fact that he still won says more about Thiem’s tennis ability than his own.
True, lolReading this I got a ROFLMAO feeling, 2019 Wimbledon hurts Dullards more than Fedfans.
Wasn't Nadal Djokovic's main competition for the 2018 Wimbledon title?Nadal fans have no business whatsoever to talk about grass and some of the great grass champions of the recent times.

Choking is part of the game, unfortunately. Novak, legitimately has won SEVEN Wimbledon Titles. Deal with IT! Nadal is practically the same age as Novak, so why didn't he win more Wimbledons? The reason is that Novak is a better grass court player, as Rafa is the better clay court player. Also, Novak is the better hard court player vs Nadal.
You realize Rafa has 6 HC majors too right lol7 Wimbledons, 4 title defences, 28 match winning streak and counting. This match paved the way to Djokovic placing himself amongst the absolute legends of the game on the lawn, where real tennis is played. HC goat aswell. Some other players can only dominate on one singular surface.
Rafa's grass prime ended in 2011, period.I am sure that injured person with zero Wimbledon finals in 11 years is more worthy of stunning grass accolades.
Any grass achievements for Rafa after 2011 were cherry on cake. His prime on grass ended right that year.Didn't Nadal lose to 2019 Federer? Looks like it wasn't that easy to beat him...
It was a good form but nowhere close to prime form.Really? So the Wimbledon 2018 semis don't count? Or the 2019 Wimbledon semis? Rafa wasn't in prime form back then?
Absolutely NOT...Much like RG.
Not even close.'It's not the size of the dog in the fight, its the size of the fight in the dog. '
- Mark Twain
On Grass Federer is that dog who has a bigger size but lacks fight, Novak is that dog who has the most fight in him, so yes, Roger failing to deliver that 1 serve is symbolic of how Novak is worthy man to sit on 7 titles there.
No excuse, no IFs and BUTs.
It was a good form but nowhere close to prime form.
I dont know about that. The certain things in life are death, taxes, and ...
You realize Rafa has 6 HC majors too right lol
I wonder who showed him the way out.Rafa's grass prime ended in 2011, period.
His peak is much higher than Novak.
Both clay and grass have much fewer contenders than hardcourt.Absolutely NOT...
RG has had serious contenders right from the get go.
I never said he was better on HCs than Novak but to win 6 HC slams is impressive asf, that's the same as Andre Agassi who many say dominated hard courts12> 6

Sampras dominated HC 7 /25 slams participated. Novak 12/36. That's domination
Nadal 6/33 - That's vulturing at best.

Love how he convientiely leaves out Agassi who was 6/31 on HC lol also if 6 slams is vulturing that means ATGs like Becker/Edberg were vultures since they won 6 majors in their whole careersLongevity counts for nothing? Sampras was finished when he retired.

Yeah exactly. Djokovic is 3 years senior to that and still winning slams.Federer in 2014 was a 32 years old dinosaur?
