Novak Djokovic - 9 minutes of ARGUING with a journalist - Rome 2019

Well said Nole. (y)

Is that Ben Rothenberg who was arguing with Novak in this clip? He is a jerk. Always looking and fishing for stories. Needs a shut up call everytime he opens his mouth. I think he mentioned this exchange in his podcast too (unless it was some other time) where he interviewed Kyrgios.

I really wish they bring about some changes in Novak's attire. AO was brilliant, not much after that. Is it just me or are the designs going downhill for everyone? I guess they don't have anything new to show after all these years.

By the way @Hitman, what do you think of tomorrow's final? Think Djoker has still got enough to take the bull by the horns? He has had tougher opponents and lengthier matches.

What I posted earlier

This has to be Nadal's best chance to get a win. He could not have asked for a more ideal scenario. Novak has played back to back three set matches against two very in form players, he has also played the last three matches in the evening so will have to adjust to the day conditions, and finally, he will have the least amount of time to rest and recover. Nadal has been efficient, yes, he has not been tested, but he will have the fresher legs out there tomorrow.

Djokovic's forehand is working very well out there and that spells danger for Nadal if Djokovic can get over the tiredness factor. Nadal serving well doesn't matter against Djokovic, Novak will return just fine, but the question is can Nadal look to exploit the slightly dead legs tomorrow by being able to play from the middle and move the ball to the sides.

If Nadal loses this convincingly still, he will have very little chance to change it around in Paris.

Just like I thought. A very balanced view, as always. I think Rafa can win. A loss for Novak won't be troublesome for you and others as he has done very well after a patchy period for quite a while. Nadal's return to form will make this the most interesting RG since 2011.

Nadal certainly has his chances tomorrow. Even if he loses, if it is a competitive match, Nadal will have something to take to RG. He simply cannot afford to get stream rolled here, Djokovic wouldn't want it either, but he has the rational explanation of having played a lot more these past few days to soften the psychological impact of a loss here. He will be liking his chances already for RG, he has been battle hardened now, a win over Nadal just makes it the perfect preparation should it happen. Between the two, IMO Nadal needs this win more.

Djokovic: I believe in the title at RG and a new "Djoker Slam"

Novak Djokovic believes he can win Roland Garros, but he calls Rafael Nadal the favorite.

Novak is competing in Paris for his second trophy at Roland Garros, as well as the chance to achieve the "Djoker Slam", which is holding all Grand Slams at once.

The world number one claims that Nadal, the 11 time champion, is the first favorite this year as well.

Novak and Rafa have played two matches this season - the Serbian was victorious in the Australian Open final, while the Spaniard was in the final of Rome.

"He is the favorite for the title. It wouldn't be fair picking anyone else because he only had two losses here. I respect him of course as always. He was better in Rome while I ran out of gas after several long matches, which finished very late", said Djokovic.

In the previous two tournaments Novak reached the final (Madrid title, Rome final), but it looks like the peak of form has been saved for Paris.

"I wanted to reach my peak on this tournament. I have a chance to win four Grand Slams in a row. There is a special kind of motivation for me to win Roland Garros because of the possibility of being the owner of all four GS at the same time, which I managed three years ago"

He believes that he can achieve the "Djoker Slam" again.

"That is why I believe I can do that again. I always loved playing in Paris, especially in the last 4-5 years with great crowd support", Novak is clear.

He does and he's going to need it for this tournament. Hopefully he starts off good tomorrow.

It will be interesting tomorrow because he is on right after Nadal himself, so it will be easy to do a comparison of form between them.

Yea that's true. Nadal is going to play really early my time so I will miss his match but I know I will watch Novak.

Novak will be watching Rafa just before he steps onto court. I will be very interested to see how Novak responds to that.
