Do you see DJoker ever making a Grand Slam final again.

NO !!

Keep in mind I don't watch tennis much but from what I hear he is playing terrible.

However, we all wrote off Nadal a few years ago when he was losing to inferior players but I don't see DJoker having the same fire and passion.

You think DJoker can even make the QTF of a slam, ever again ??

I want to say , yes but not any more beyond that.

Yes he will win fo this month, thus rendering this thread pathetic, ironic and useless just like cobra kai never die wax on yo

Yes, according to some posters, he will start dominating again in 2020 like he did in 2011!

Yes, I think he will make a QF again. I think he may even win another slam or two but I currently have trouble seeing him win more than one or two.

The problem with writing djokovic off is that it's been done before several times for both nadal and federer, and look how those predictions have turned out.
It's too early to write him off completely, he knows how to win slams better than most on the tour, and at his best form has no one that can stop him.

It could go either way, but one flip of the mental switch, a kick up the backside, and everything could still fall in place quite quickly. Even agassi with all his physical limitations won quite a bit and made deep slam runs very late in his career, and Djokovic has a couple of years to make it happen. That's a long time to make a prediction for, especially given how quickly things can change in any sport.

I was talking with a mate of mine today about the state of the game, and all the new guys coming up while Roger and Rafa are in their last couple of years. He swears that Novak is going to win Roland Garros this year by beating Nadal in the final. I laughed and said that isn't happening and plus they might be on the same side of the draw anyways. He said that's true, but either way Novak will beat Nadal at some point in the tournament and win Roland Garros 2018. So we have a bet and it's a decent amount of money on the line which leads me to believe he sincerely thinks Nole is winning Roland Garros this year.

But here is the kicker in the bet. If Nole wins Roland Garros, but doesn't play Nadal along the way than I win the bet.

Knowing who he is, I can definitely see it. Looking at who he is right now, the path to get there looks a bit iffy.

No need to be so pessimistic, he will peak at age 34-35 just as Fed did. And look at this delicious weak era field that has opened up for him, he only needs to play slightly good for 2 slams a year minimum in this field

No.

In order for him to regain even some semblance of what/who he was before his "devolved" transformation, he needs to tap into his inner demons.

Unfortunately, with the people around him (particularly his wife), I don't ever see him competing in any meaningful matches ever again.

The mods delete half of the epic things I do. They've had it out for me for years. The thing is I went to sleep after posing it so I literally never even saw a single of the replies. How long did it go?

I'm not sure. I made a few posts and went away to do something for about 15 minutes and when I came back I was just posting another comment and hit post reply and it said thread not found. I think it lasted for about 45 minutes and then it was gone. A lot of posters were complaining that your thread wasn't nice. Boo hoo. Then a poster came after me after I said some posters needed a sense of humor. It was getting heated, lol. A bunch of crybabies.

I think whatever Novak's physical trouble I think the main demise for him is mental. He has won all the titles except for a gold medal at the Olympics so he has nothing left to prove. AND he has held all 4 titles at the same time right before his recent decline in play over the last 23 months. I do not see him coming back. Wilander had 1988 and was essentially toast, Courier had 91-93 and once he lost the French and Wimbledon finals in 93 he was never in the running again.

If you can't handle trolling, you shouldn't join a forum lol. Boo-hoo indeed. I've endured a decade of Nadal being slayed on here every day, and never even put a single poster on ignore. It's not that serious. In all seriousness I feel bad for Djokovic. His decline is literally shocking me, hence the thread. There's like 2 Ultronians on here, so I wanted input on what they think is going on.

Just focusing on his play I would say no, but Nadal was pretty terrible during his slump, and Fed's slam drought went on for 5 years. Confidence is a huge factor all it takes is a few gutsy wins to turn it around. There are no really consistant guys who are younger coming through the slam scene so I am on the fence with this

The new-gen at this time when Djokoray is out are far better than the new-gen when Fedals were out. What that means is when Fedal were down, Djokoray gate-guarded the field. But now, the field is open, which gives a lot of confidence to the current gen. Fedal are not gate-guarders - they either win or go out early. And again, its been two "new-gen" since a proper "new-gen" emerged. And the current gen is more promising than the previous ones - so I see a more difficult mountain to climb. I can Stan and Andy out of finals ever again. Novak - I give one more final. A win in the final will be a surprise for me.

He is 31 - he should be able to reach GS finals.Nolefam for years said that Djokovic is on the same level as Federer so if Federer can reach GS finals at age of 33 then Djokovic should be able to do the same thing .If he is so good as his fans claim he would be able to go deep in every tournament he plays not losing the second rounds

It will be Zverev Vs Djokovic rivalry in 2019.

Thiem will be a factor on Clay

Federer will be a factor on grass.

That is all.

If Djokovic enters Earth's Mightiest Warrior form again then he could very well have one final rampage considering the state of the tour.

If he makes a slam final, then he has either entered Earth's Mightiest form, or is very close to it, and that could turn the tour on its head. At the moment, he is far from that form, but in the scenario he is in a slam final, he will be dangerously close...

He’s an ATG and it’s never wise to count an ATG out but seems like he’s Finnish to me.

Seriously it is the mind that is not confident anymore. It is always a two way street. Eventually you get mentally tired over a career and the next great player comes along. While the Novak demise is not caused by the Next Gen stepping up and forcing the Old Guard out, he looks mentally out of it the last 23 months. He went from holding all 4 majors and an almost shoe in at the Olympics to what? A mess pushed off to the side. If he can come back great.

At least Connors was still getting to later stages of the majors in 1979-1981 when Borg/McEnroe eclipsed him. Connors won the 1978 US Open and not again until the 1982 Wimbledon when Borg was retired. However he made the SF at 8/10 majors he played and 2 QF at RG. Hardly what Novak is posting these days. Connors aged out. If his spirit was transplanted into ANY next gen player he'd win the next major.
