Does anyone drink white tea?

I've been drinking a white tea variety by Lipton, a island peach mango flavor, all natural. I sweeten it with one of the stevia brands, so it's calorie free.

Tastes really good, but it makes me go (urinate) almost immediately; like 20 minutes after I drink it. It's not like normal either: - a smaller amount than usual (like almost the same amount of tea I drank), and very very clear.

Is this a good thing? I know all teas are diuretics but I've never experienced anything like this before. I can't drink this tea when I'm playing tennis because I would have to go to the bathroom so much!

Anyone experience something similar?

if you like lipton's island white tea. Try Republic of Tea's white tea. The pineapple flavor one is out of this world.
If you want to try alittle, I believe Panera serves that.

Ok cool,
I like the Lipton flavor alot, but I'm more concerned about the diuretic effect. Does it cause you to go alot?

White tea has a reasonable amount of caffeine, although not as much as other teas, so if youre not used to it that can cause the problem.

No, not really...

My former GF used to often and I might sip from hers, since she was spending so much of her (and my) money at Starbucks. But, coffee is not my thing.

I have been drinking white tea for years now. Two cups/day. Just finished a fine cup of White Symphony. Yeah, I pee, but nothing unusual.

Now, here's the thing - white tea is the portal to infinity. Drink it regularly and you will live forever. It is picked during full moons by virgins descended from the line of priests of Xanadu.

Alright, enough. It is a very concentrated source of a variety of anti-oxidants and other goodies, it is light and tastes great, and has just enough caffeine to give you a small boost. It just makes me feel good. I drink it straight, no sugar or chemicals.

Lastly, if you delve into the world of white tea, I strongly recommend loose teas over grocery store tea bags. Go here:

'White Peony' is good for newbs. And get an infuser, those tea balls tend to suck.

Caffeine has different effects on ppl. I know that white tea is not processed as much as black and red teas. Do you have the same effects with other teas?
Definitely try Republic of Tea. If you want to go even more pure, just goto a asian grocery store, it probably cost less there.
But I go through 4 cups of coffee and 2 cups of tea. Yeah, mornings often have a couple more visits to the boys room. But all in all, it's okay with me.

White tea healthier?? I've read more than once that the amount of antioxidants in tea generally increases with its darkness.

Nope. The dark color of black and oolong teas come from their being roasted, which also destroys some of the polyphenols and other anti-oxidants. The only processing performed on white teas is a gentle steaming and drying. Also, white teas are by definition picked from the younger leaves and unopened leaf buds, which have higher concentrations of anti-oxidants than older leaves.

No,
I've drank green, herbal, and 'typical' iced teas here in the states (probably mixes of black and greys) and have never had to urinate almost immeadiately afterwards... I guess its probably a good thing, I do generally feel better after drinking this white tea.

I will try the Republic of tea brand!

I guess as long as we're not smoking the herbal stuff, it's healthy. =) Wait, that's called something else. =)

yes, try the pineapple one. We can't get enough of this stuff at home. I get this really refreshing smell in the house everytime I brew it as well.

DRII, I have bought from Republic of Tea, but they're kind of 'pop' when it comes to real tea drinking - they have lots of flavored candy teas and the like. But if you want real hard core straight-up teas with a lot more choice and variety, go to Adagio.

Ok, I'll try Adagio as well.

Thank goodness for Amazon, LOL.

I think I've seen those brands there...
