as the title suggests...there are dri-fit shorts, shirts, tops, warm up suits, hats, and even socks...

but why dont pros wear dri-fit wristbands? i mean they do sell them...i have a pair of double-wide nike dri-fit wristbands in black and white...they are more sleek and do the job....so why dont pros wear dri-fit wristbands?

they dont absorb as much. dri-fit doesnt absorb at all as a matter of fact. it just lets the sweat go through.

I disagree. I just got Underarmor 6" wide ones and compared to Nike's cotton one they feel more comfortable and absorb almost as much but look thinner and better. It's all about a personal preference.

interesting responses yet i find it very convenient being sleek and thin, but good points as its all personal preference...the bandanas federer, nadal, moya wear are also 100% cotton, or close to it...

Dri-Fit or polyester is to wick away sweat from your body hence you wear polyester socks, shorts, and shirts.

Wristbands are not suppose to wick away sweat from your wrist obviously, but to wipe sweat from your face. Cotton soaks sweat and is soft on your face. Polyester just doesn't work the same that way.

Same reason you use cotton towels after you shower and not polyester.

well i didnt mean for the wristbands to wick away sweat from your wrists...but rather as they'd absorb the sweat and then it'd wick away...anyways makes much sense that the cotton thicker wristbands absorb more sweat, and you'd have to change them less often even if they do get soaked....

wristbands are really annoyign anyways, it always steams up my arms and heats them up. i woudl rather have a cotton/poly blend wristband. with drifit as a liner, so that way the sweat gets wicked away from my skin, and the cotton/poly terry towel part well absorb it.

The dri-fit wristbands are nice and thin, and does not retain too much moisture. I stay in the tropics and sweat like a hog, so my cotton wristbands are always soaked to the brim. Halfway through a match, it feels like I'm wiping a soaked sponge on my face, and the perspiration will trickle down to my palm.

The dri-fit ones stay nice and dry enough and does a great job. Only issue I have with it is that it's a bit more difficult to put on compared to cotton.

well for me they are not hard to put on at all if i ever do use them...they slide right on...and on second thought, these wristbands arent really completely dri fit...rather a cotton-poly mix...
