End of the line (the Six.One line)

Hall of Fame
Rumours that Wilson were discontinuing the Six.One line have been floating about, but I wasn't sure how much I believed them. Yesterday, the winter catalogue from a major UK retailer dropped through my door, and under the Wilson section they had:

Burn
- all 100 sq in heads, weight 260 - 300g, one 16x19, the others 18x16

Blade
- 98, 98S, 104 and 101L listed

Prostaff
- RF97A, 97, 97LS, 95S

Juice
- 100, 100S, 100L, 100UL

It must be said that they don't always include all models in that catalogue - a missing model does not necessarily mean that it doesn't exist - but I've never seen them exclude an entire line before. So it looks like there really is no Six.One next year, or even a different name to directly replace it. The Steams are also absent, but the Burn isn't too dissimilar.

The pros they are showing endorsing each line are:

Burn: Nishikori and Halep
Blade: Raonic and Williams
Pro Staff: Federer and Dimitrov
Juice: Azarenka and Lopez

I heard that the Six One Line is being discontinued - certainly here in the UK.
I was told by Wigmore Sports, the finest racquet sports shop in London.
I am really surprised they are dropping a Line with such heritage...
I play with the 2012 model 18x20 and think it's a superb frame - especially for doubles.
Fortunately I have 6 frames so enough to keep me going for a few years. Unless I have a Goran moment...

I can only attest for the catalogue I was given but the six one 95 will live on in limited form. It will be more of a price point racquet and was in the catalogue beside the steam 99s and other price point racquets. Also something i found interesting was that upon reading the specs it listed the length at 27.5 I should also add it was in its current form and only the 16/18 pattern
