Equal money, once again

I was surprised to learn that men's and women's prize money are not the same at Indian Wells.

This world is completely backwards. On GS tournaments where men play best of 5 and women best of 3 the money is equal, and here where everybody plays best of 3 it is not, and nobody complains.

Go figure.

The only reason Women play 3 sets not 5 is because of their natural testostorone level that enables them to last not as long as men. Not being sexist but Men have more testostorone which allows them to do more physical demanding work and ahve longer stamina towards the physical work.
Women SHOULD get paid the same as men because they work their butts off as hard as men do. Im not saying they them selves have the same load and challenges but what i am saying is they work their butts off exceeding their capability to raise another bar in their own game just like men do. Women get injuries during their game they get cramps like men they get tired just like men they both have work their butts off but at the end they get less prize money for what they worked for.

With all that aside, whos more entertaining?

MEN!

Crowds pay their money to come in and watch the men compete, not the women, fact.

Men create ticket sales, women don't, therefore logic would suggest they get a greater prize earnings.

the mens tour is really much more exciting to watch for a majority of the matches. Dont get me wrong, i love the competitive edge that is also found on the womens tour and the effort that they put in to training and fitness, but i just find the womens game boring. The strokes look way to mechanical and they look really strained (not to mention LOUD) while the mens game looks like it flows much better.

Not being sexist or anything, just a personal opinion. Frankly, when you live in the cold north (canada) any tennis is welcome tennis

I like watching women more then men. 5 set matches between nadal and federer really **** me off now. If there was an underdog in there playing against them i would be more interested but the system that men go through regularly having number 1 vs number 2 or 3 is not very intertaining. This years Australian open Finalwas better then watching last years French Open or Wimbledon. I really enjoyed the Tipsarevic against Federer in Australian but the normal game where people win games by unforced errors is relaly a let down. Even if they do win the game with straight winner they dont show emotion that women bring to the game.

I genuinelly cannot understand how you could ever get bored off watching a Federer v Nadal match, but okay.

You say men win their matches by unforced errors, if you watch enough WTA, you'll realise the formula to win for player's is simply not to choke. I remember watching a match involving Venus Williams and someone else during the AO in January and i was cringing @ the amount of unprovoked errors that were being made.

Men show just as much emotion as women on court, the reason the women's probably stands out to you is as they don't hit those wonderus shots as frequent as the men, so when they actually hit an amazing shot, the crowd go wild and the player all crazy lol. Anna Ivanovic for example. It is expected of the men.
