Both seem to have been pacing themselves and wanting to take care of their bodies and I have a feeling that they will both peak physically at the U.S. Open and we will finally have a final between both of them there.

Good and exciting times ahead for real fans of tennis. :giggle:

Very very very unlikely, but I would love to see them go head to head once at the USO.

My fantasy USO 2021 would be the Big 3 making the semis all tied at 20. Fed vs Nadal in one half and Djokovic vs Med or Stef in the other. It's never going to happen, but it would be awesome

Would not rule this out. Nadal is fav for USO like every year given his dominance last decade but Federer you feel may enjoy the faster conditions there they had last year.
I think i did predict a year ago USO Final 20 v 20 all on line.

2010-2019 is last decade. We are now in a new decade.
Nadal won 4 out of 8 events he played in. Pretty dominant id say. Winning half of any event a play plays in is domination.

A decade is 10 years. So it should be 4 out of 10 in this 'decade'. Who cares why he didn't win the other six, he didn't dominate it.

It WOULD have been amazing, had it happened when it could have. 2008 and 2009, it was prevented by Murray and Delpo. And then 2010 AND 2011 by Novak. To be fair, the 2009, 2010 and 2011 finals were all great in their own right anyway. NOW the chance of a Fedal final happening at the USO is practically nil.

No would not say that as that is recency bias. 5 is more than 4. Hard to predict Federer at USO. We will get better idea over SW19. Hope he gets revenge on Djokovic. Right the wrong of the fluke 2019 loss.

4-3 is not dominance, it's pretty even.

5-2 or 5-0 is dominance. Federer won two, and Nadal none among Djokovic's 5 Wimbledon titles.

Djokovic will go down in history as the champion who succeeded Federer to the GOAT Throne by overpowering Federer in the end and also by overpowering Nadal on clay (based on recency bias) - The GOAT.

Unless Stefanos, Kyrgios, Sasha, Felix etc etc stop Djokovic, there is nothing that Fedal can do about it.

Nadal's peak ended in 2013 and Federer's peak ended at the aus open 2010

So it doesn't matter if Nadal had 2 good US open runs in 10 nd 13, today he is toast.

Djokovic today is looking as powerful as he was at his peak (2010uso-2016uso).

So logically Djokovic will bury Nadal, if he can beat Nadal on clay then imagine what he can do on the courts of the US open that are not clay, I heard the high bounce that favors Nadal is also missing this year..... 1 trick pony will be obliterated at the USO

Both Federer and Nadal are praying to God that the youngsters stop Novak Djokovic, they know that it is not in their hands anymore.

The chances of a Nadal-Federer final in 2021 is about .05%. And that's only if every top 50 player develops Ebola and are all in the hospital. If Fed gets Donald Young in one semi and Rafa gets Ryan Harrison in the other semi, then we'll have a Fedal USO final. Otherwise? That ship sailed years ago. Nadal is iffy for USO anyway.

You heard USO is not high bouncing? Where? That might be significant and if true confirms what many Nadal fans said 4 years ago about an effort to slow his juggernaut down by authorities.
If conditions like last year Nadal is fav. If they have changed to lower bounce Djokovic is
