I think Kokkinakis trained with Federer once, as Sinner just did with Nadal. This is from distant memory, however.

They are friendly and have been for a while. "thanaser" is Fed's nickname for him. Kokk doesn't even know why or how he started calling him that, but that's how Fed addresses him whenever they cross paths.
