Uniqlo really created some wonderful on-court gear for Nishikori and Djokovic but I'm sure the situation is fairly fraught now that Roger is on-board.
He is probably very conscious of ever "clashing" or appearing to be wearing something inspired by the lines that Djokovic or Nishikori pioneered.
I just picked up the two alternate Nishikori outfits on the Australian Uniqlo site.
A little while ago someone claimed to have seen two people wearing brand new Uniqlo shirts with the RF logo on the front and a uniqlo logo on the back near the neck (?). Can't remember who it was but when they were pressed for evidence they said they could have taken a photo but were worried about doing it (?) so there was some mystery over whether the shirts actually existed or whether it was a little bit of hopeful thinking or even, dare I say it, "creative writing".
Here is the ACTUAL shirt that Uniqlo has just released with the Roger Federer front design for this year's AO. No RF logo, as expected. Very similar to an earlier release bearing Roger's signature. I like the design (wouldn't wear it myself, but I can see it appealing to Federer fans).
This is so bland and uninspiring.
The brand that made this
and this
presents a disappointment once again with Federer
