Hi, I'm not a Federer fan even though is class is crystal clear; however, don't you guys think that at the end of the mach in Dubai lost with Djokovic during the prize ceremony especially when he was interviewed there was something wrong with him?
I don't think either he was disappointed nor worried for the many mistakes yet his face made my wonder.

He didn't look too happy when they were taking pictures with their trophies, I wouldn't read too much into it. He doesn't care as much since it's just a smaller tournament, that and he's not going to be smashing rackets every time he loses a final.

Because he has already accomplished a sh't load over his career.

Done, next thread (I'll come back to this when I'm not pissed off about art homework that a person who draws all day sets us. completely useless subject).

Maybe he was annoyed to be there looking cool having lost for the second time in a row from Djokovic.

OP has a point. Federer's face shows the effects of age now, as if it is going to sag and fall down.

He's more into crying than breaking racquets after a painful loss anyway.
Safin used to break everything in sight lol, Fed just sobs.

Federer is a softie whether it's losing a match or a title, getting married, or having babies. Safin, on the other hand releases his emotions by smashing rackets or likely driving fast. Different folks, different stokes.

Whatever works.

Perhaps a mental break down? somehow he was absent as someone said but not for having lost. Also re watching the mach I notice that his attitude on the court seemed like he was lost, empty and that would give me a reason of so many uncommon mistakes by him........only my impression

Yes, everyone has a peculiar habit that emerges in reaction to losses.
Safin broke rackets, Rogy sobs and NadsyBoy falls sick or holds his knees in pain after every loss.
It happens.

Yep he definitely looked almost disinterested.

Also Roger looks like hes lost a step or two. His game is so precise it relies heavily on footwork and movement and when that goes off just a little bit he does not stand much of a chance against great ball strikers like Djoker or Nadal, and even Murray who will run everything down.

Its kind of depressing to see Roger getting older and slower but its expected. I just wish we didnt have so many people chomping at the bit to get on the boards and blast Roger for it.

I dont expect him to really win tournaments any more and from now on will count anything he wins a bonus on top of what he has accumulated in his career so far.

What are you all talking about? Federer rearely shows any emotion and thats why he's one of the greatest boring players on tour.

I can understand being upset about a loss, but I would think that a professional would at least force a smile for the official trophy shot. :(

Perhaps he was mentally counting the appearance fee he collects to keep him coming back to that tournament.

Against Nole in IWells, Fed seemed one or two steps behind and too error prone compared to his usual consistency and accuracy.

Maybe, his kids take some energy away, at least thats my case with my 4 and almost 2 year olds. My younger kid, a girl, doesnt let me breath. And, in Fed's case, he has 2 girls if I'm not mistaken... . Just a different approach to look at it; just kidding, but who knows.:)

Fed was never consistent. His so-called accurate shots could easily have gone out or into the net. Luck was with him, so it was cool. He needs to get a bigger frame and play a higher-margin game.
