Federer / Nadal and djokovic difference

Federer and Nadal ,are what we call tennis geniuses. They make shots that nobody can predict or even think about it.

Djokovic in the other hand is not a genius but he is maybe the most efficient player ever , he does almost everything really good. However, We know what he will do and how.

And that's why people like Federer and Nadal more.

So this is your thought of the day - 2 geniuses could be eclipsed by some predictable dude.

Most tennis historians, fans and pundits will agree that tennis has produced two geniuses: McEnroe and Federer. Nadal is not a tennis genius, nor is anyone else currently playing aside from Roger. That's just sort of basic Tennis 101. Watch Mac's matches from 1981-84 and you'll understand what people are talking about. Nadal and Nole could wind up with 30 slams and become GOAT, but neither are tennis geniuses.

Mac is overrated. He's even not more talented than Borg.

There's an unwritten rule here. If you make a post attempting to say something novel about the big 3, you're a qualified twerp.

So the two genetic Goats couldn't handle Novak's shots, which are predictable even to you?

So Novak put the shots in their head but out of their reach?

Genius lmao. Being able to hit a tennis ball doesn't require any genius. You could call it a talent but that's also an overused word. Everyone essentially learns to play in a certain way and that's how you end up playing. Wasn't Federer hitting double handed backhands as a kid? or was it Sampras? Regardless, if they stayed that way all these single handed genius snobbery wouldn't be there.

The chess genius José Raúl Capablanca learned to play chess at age 4, just observing his father's games.
he was a genius indeed. i can add that considering his great achievements if he had spent as much time working on chess as alekhine and lasker did, he would have even better results, he didn't need to work that hard unlike other greats

It all depends on what you mean by genius. But Novak is not just some guy who does everything well. He has exceptional point construction and a clever game plan. The fact that he was able to succeed against Nadal on clay, where everyone else had failed, is a testament to that.

Hmmm.....you really think Djokovic can't come up with shots nobody could predict or think about? He's been doing it his whole career.
