Federer won 34 singles titles from 2004-2006. Well it is not the record for most tournaments won in three consecutive years (Nastase - 36 - 1971-1973 and Connors - 36 - 1974-1976, )

Just an awesome achievement when you consider that the two other best players of the last 30 years - Nadal and Sampras, their best was 20 and 23, respectively.

....And 8 of them were Slam titles when you see that it takes a whole career to win 8 slams. Just amazing!!!!

You should just create a "little known Federer stats" thread and post all these things in there.

So does that make Nastase and Connors better than Nadal and Sampras, respectively ?? What's the point to this thread ??

What's also fascinating is how close he was to equalling those records. Championship point against Nadal in Rome 2006, and got to 30-0 when he served for the tournament against Nalbandian in the 2005 TMC. For the sake of 3 teeny tiny wafeer theen leetle points.

Oh well, can't win 'em all.
