You heard it here first (well, I suppose).
The young prodigy will carry the torch for Wilson after Fed.
Nothing comfirmed yet, but they're discussing.

Wow, is this comes true it´d be a massive change for this kid, specially now that his career is setting off. I don´t think wilson would let him play with a babolat frame under a pj, they would force him to change sticks obviously.

Well done by his camp.

I agree, but Nike/Wilson are getting a better deal as it probably doesn't cost a lot to sign him right now compared to a couple years down the line. Money well invested for Nike and Wilson.

Im sure Ali and his agent got a pretty penny. Wonder how long the contract is for though.

The word is Wilson is proposing to make a replica of his Babolat. Funny thing is I saw Felix with an aeroprodrive last week-end when he lost in the final of a futures event.

I also heard in this conversation that clothing companys were paying much, much more that racquet manufacturers for sponsorship. It's probably something some of you guys on this board were aware of, but at least it was news to me. We're talking (only) five to low six figures for big name players (outside the top 5 though, I guess).

Makes sense. Clothing companies like Nike make a lot more $$ than racquet companies. People buy lots of clothes/shoes and comparatively few racquets.

Ok but clothes doesn´t affect the way someone plays and racquets do, so is it really worth it??

If you look closer you'll see its not the pure aero he's hitting, it's the pure aero VS (former aerostorm)

Thanks, I didn't even know Babolat had come up with this frame. I had noticed right away that the beam seemed thinner than Aeroprodrive, but the thick throat looked the same. Guess Felix is trying some frames :)

We should start a contest on which paintjob he'll endorse. I go for Blade 16x19, with Burn 100 as a close second.

Absolutely no chance he would switch to a Wilson "Pea Shooter" after years of playing Babolat frames.

It would be career suicide.

He has done the right thing staying exactly where he is.

Um...you all do realize that this thread is 3 years old, don't you?

Likewise...there is zero chance he's changing from his PureAero VS Tour (or whatever iteration he's using) anytime soon, especially after his failed experiment at the ATP cup w/ the new PureAero VS...

It was never going to happen.

No way he would ever have switched from Babolat to the types of toy junk with rubber paint that Wilson sells now.
Yeah, personally I think the only good racquets Wilson makes is the pro staff and maybe the blade 18/20 v7, though flex isn’t everybody’s thing. I love my modded Pure Aero 2019.

He is never gonna switch from Aero Storm. PA Vs is junk.
The OP is trolling us.

Chill guys
Look at OP's post date, how did this even get revived?

To be honest, by the time I started this thread FAA' camp was indeed talking with Wilson. Maybe it's something racquet companies do more often that I thought (just courting players) but they did talk and somehow no deal was made.

Don’t know a deal was actually made but there would have been talks some years ago. Players in his federation were using Wilson(mostly), the academy where his dad worked (and now owns) was Wilson sponsored, etc. Normal there would’ve been talks. It’s crazy seeing this thread on top of the list over the last while..I guess I’m now contributing to this undesirable effect by responding too...
