fitness/neutrition plan

should i make a fitness plan for over the winter. i am a regular tournement player i am 13 and i need to get fitter because i can not hold out in long high intensity matches i have the strength just not fitness and i am also not fast enough.my coach is on about making a plan. how manny hours of running and sprinting drills should i do and stuff like that. for nutrition it doesnt matter i can do that my self. anyone have any ideas ? bear in mind im at school !

School really isn't an excuse. It's tough to think of it that way, but there's really nothing holding you back. In fact, it's almost good.

You get plenty of time to eat lunch, drink water during classes (get at least 32oz in during school) and if you just ask, your parents will undoubtedly love to see you taking charge of your body.

Don't really worry about distances you run or sprint, worry about intensity.

You're 13, so undoubtedly you have an msn or an aim screenname. Im me or msn me, I've got a lot of resources that'll be very helpful.

Erm...i didn't mean to attack ya like that. It was kinda directed towards everyone who reads, though you more specifically as it was your thread.


I do know the feeling though....it's perfect weather in the morning, and you're stuck in math. 2:20 rolls around, and it starts pouring.

Stops tennis outside, but not running, soccer, football, etc.


:/ but yeah, weather does suck...and so does school consuming so much time.
