Footage of Fed today - is he doing something with his shoulder here that looks off?

On the follow through on the forehand he seems to sort of dip down and hunch over forward on his right side a bit before he takes his next step. Am I imagining this or is it something new? Guessing it would be to protect the knee

From what I can see, avoiding torsion on the tight knee during follow through.

The way he brings up the contact point to just the toes of his right foot, ensuring the heel is off the ground makes it seem like he doesn't want any rotation making its way up to the knee.

In my, most technically uninformed opinion, he’s always had that over exaggerated step through with his right leg, which leads to that odd shoulder position, early in practice sessions. I don’t think it’s to protect the knee.

You're in the Champions League final and matched against Olympiakos. That's what team world looks like to me.

Yes, players. The game is most certainly rigged. Roger needs to join team world. Inspire them.

Im sure he'll be in 10x better shape since he actually takes care of himself better than Fed. I don't want to see Fed and Nadal in their 40s physical trainwrecks trying to relive the glory days . Awful

hes "only" 35 but he is more injury free than the other 2... all that stretching, eating only bird seed, visiting the pyramids, and sleeping in an egg has gotta do something

Not true.

Vegans for the most part are MORE unhealthy than people who eat a regular balanced diet. Nole probably makes it up “supplements” but it’ll never be the same as regular food

Yea I definitely see something. Either he's deliberately trying to protect his knee, or he has pain/restriction that is preventing him from doing the usual. Hopefully it's just him being careful.

Based on this I don't think he's gonna play a serious singles match.

yeah hes not gonna win 2023 wimbledon playing like that
Of course its hard to find any light practice footage of Fed - unless it’s a real practice match playing points- where he doesn’t look like this.

He’s always super chill in practice.

Rafa won't make it to 38. His body is breaking down after every tournament he plays

We said he wouldn't make it to 25, so I'm done pre-writing his obituaries

I would be very surprised if Djokovic is really a vegan. I think it's just another thing like going gluten-free that he uses to explain away his dramatic performance increase from 2011-on
