I have slowly built up a collection of Fox racquets. Now up to 3. I really like the way they look and the way they play. Very old school.

Here they are:

FoxRacquets.jpg

On the left is a ATP Ceramic Comp WB-215. Ceramic/Graphite/Fiberglass composite. Has the grommets that allow strings to run through the throat, but it is strung normally. This one has never been played. Its a steel blue color with copper accents.

In the middle is an ATP Limited Edition WB-215. Graphite/Kevlar composite (sound familar?). Strings have been run through the throat on this one. It plays very similar to a PS 6.0, but feels more flexible. It is black with copper highlights.

On the right is a TURK WB-210 Ceramic Graphite. Ceramic/Graphite/Fiberglass composite. Features the eight sided head. It is white with teal and red accents. What is interesting is the "TURK" tag in the name (sorry for the fuzzy shot).

Does anyone know the significance of this? Also any other info on them will be much appreciated.

All are Warren Bosworth designs and well worth the trouble to collect if you can find them.

I agree that fox made some excellent player rackets. They made a red fox and atp tour model that were both very similar to the prostaff 60 in design specs except more flexible. Sorry, but I dont have the specs. I show these rackets and many others from the fox den below:

Hi JS...

What is the Fox without the grommet holes? Are the strings fed from inside the hoop where they are supported by rollers? I have a Fox ATP Gold similar to this... but it's simply grommetless (grommet channels look a bit like the 200G).

Do you happen to have any close-up pics of that system on the grey-colored racquet?

That frame must have been a bear to manufacture.

Great photos. Thanks for the link. Any idea on the TURK part of my WB-210 label? I've seen a number of pictures of the WB-210 and never seen another with the TURK tag on it?

I'll dig around and try to find my scales and calipers and see if I can pull some specs on what I have.

OK. Here are the specs I could measure:

ATP Limited Edition WB-215: 18mm beam, 341 grams (12 oz), 11 pts HL

ATP Ceramic WB-215: 18mm beam, 344 grams (12.13 oz), 11 pts HL

TURK WB-210 Ceramic Graphite: 18mm beam, 335 grams (11.82 oz), 9 pts HL

No wonder I like them. They are all basically the same weight and balance as my tweaked Yonex RDS 001 MPs.

Great racquets and thanks for the pics netman. Are these from c1986 or thereabouts?

exactly, good guess regarding era... worlds number four used them during his peak and to attain his #4 worlds pro atp tour ranking...Brad "the pusher" Gilbert. Lendl used two models breifly at the very very end of his illustrious career. Navratilaova used one. Radek Stephanek currently plays Boswroth International and pays for his racquets...as Boz don spansah noh- batty. nobatty....capise???
ten sided head...leaves opponents dead...
that should be their motto, as these things shine on court, no way anyone here except the phillipina girl asleep in my bed will ever see my fox den, I'm salty enough these are on the radar now,
no kidding,
these frames are all a "stone fox"!
until further notice,

I picked up a Fox a few months back at a Goodwill. It was the Graphite Pro 210. It was black with a teal/green stripe running around the face. No grommets.
