Whoah, what's happening to Spain? They need to get it together, if not for national pride then at least for their individual egos. Because I vaguely remember a few of them, Verdasco in particular, being vocal and miffed about Rafa getting all the credit and spotlight for their Davis Cup win. Now he's absent and they're on the brink of defeat? Not a good look for them.

Forget grass, this is the surface they should play Wimbledon on!

It's so freaking fast, it's glorious.

Also, this is why I don't like Verdasco. The guy is just a spoiled bratty rich kid that folds when he feels even the slightest bit of resistance, except for one or two times in his career.

Thank god Davids Cup is over for Spain, so they won't be messing Nadal's schedule anymore and Nadal won't have to make up excuses to avoid that pain-in-the-ass tournament.

How come Nadal didn't play? Anyone know? Didn't think Spain would lose so badly....

He had better things to do such as fly to South Africa and watch the gold medal match between Spain and the Netherlands.

Oh and ugh...get some "treatment" for his knees in the mix?

As expected Spain failed without Nadal. Clowndasco could at least scrape by a win in Davis Cup seeing as he can't do anything useful in slams.

Spain got royally spanked, it hadn't lost 5-0 since 1957. Poor show by the defending champions and better ranked players.
