From PT280 to what? I Need Help!

So As I am watching my luck run out on finding a couple decently priced PT280's, I feel as I might be forced to find a racquet that I can buy multiples of. My biggest concern is finding a racquet with the same (or similar) solid feel I get from my forehands with the PT280. I've grown to enjoy this racquet after finally getting my hands on one last weekend. I put a Cap grommet on the PT280 to make it more head heavy, as I enjoy my racquet's to have a more even Balance. Background on my strokes and me....:

5.0 rating, relatively moderate spin on my forehand/backhand, I hit a 105+ mph flat serve and enjoy a nice slice serve from time to time, Return of serve is a big deal for me so I need a stable racquet, college student with some arm problems but nothing severe and I am a true all-courter.

Past racquet's: (Youtek Radical Pro lead at 3 & 9) (FXP Radical Tour lead at 3 & 9)

Racquet's I hate: (APDC) (Microgel Extreme Pro)

My string set-up: (Golden Set Poly 16L x Gosen Og Sheep 17, 59 x 61)

I like this head size but i'm willing to go smaller if need be, just not BLX90 small.

My PT280 is NOT china made but NOT Austrian made, just Austrian Designed.

Your help is very much needed!

Closest new frames to the 280 are the Prokennex black ace 98, Redondo MP, Dunlop 4d 200, and the Volkl Powerbridge 10 MP. You might want to give them a try.

the remix 280 is a total bust ! Kennex would be a good place to start demoing.

I agree with the Black Ace. really nice stick. The redondo is good too, but a tad too low powered for me.

Get more pt280. The closest thing is a PT57 and they are much more $$.

You could give liquidmetal prestige mp or microgel a shot- you may like it but they are stiffer.

Microgel prestige is softer than the Youtek, but still stiffer than the PT280. The Radicals are soft like the PT280, but way too iight. I never liked the feel of any of the Prestiges from the time they put in the itellifibers up until the Microgel (I'm using the Microgel Prestige Pro now and decided I like the 16 mains).

If you're ok with an open pattern, more topspinny frame than the PT imo, like a nice buttery feel, a frame that swings beautifully, is real quality in terms of build, is very good from both b-line and for more all court, I'd recommend the illustrious C10 Pro... a frame of course you can still buy quite easily.

Yes, but apparently it is impossible to get grommet sets for them. I have asked my local shop as well as TW Europe, and I've been waiting 14 weeks now ... nothing.....

Well considering the PT280 was my first closed pattern racquet in about four years, i'm sure i'd be pretty open minded about using an open pattern but than again there is something just appealing about the 18 x 20 feel.

Trust above users and try Black Ace.
Also although light Mg Radical customized to your specs might fit the bill...

From what I have heard, the Prince Rebel is somewhat close to the 280. Might want to give that one a try. I have also heard that the new PB 10 mid is pretty close as well.

C10 Pro... Reb 95... BLX PT... PB 10 mid... Rad Tour TT ('related' to the PT630 via mold etc... sometimes come up for sale or on fboy)... AG4D200... leaded up MG/YT Rads... TF 335... Kneissl frames (if you investigate, there are a few, I can't recall exact models)... 200G MW (unlikely you'll find 1)... Vantage 95...

What's the story with the C10 pro grommets? I just put on my last sets for both of my frames so I'm ok for awhile but are new sets not available anymore?

Prince Rebel 95 is the ticket.

Tried the rebel... Wow what an amazing stick. Didn't really get the pop I get from my PT but control was as good, not better though. I can definitely absolutely see myself switching to this frame. Wish I had more time to hit with it as I only got about ten strokes with it, but than again Monfils only need two... Can't wait to try it again and hopefully I can make a purchase in the future. really didn't expect this much quality from a more modern frame (Feel, touch) Love that it's 100% graphite too. Hopefully more play tests will support my initial feelings.

What about the Head Liquid Metal Radical MidPlus? 18X20 string pattern, and they're only $69 at TW. Why not demo one? It's a great, all-around racquet.

A tad stiff and a bit hollow feeling from what I remember. The exo rebel was so solid with full poly at 53 pounds.
