For anyone who has used full gut and/or a hybrid with poly with gut, which did you prefer?
If you did prefer the hybrid, which kind? gut mains/poly crosses or poly mains/gut crosses?

Full gut is extremely nich to play with. But I found that in my K90 (with Babolat VS 17g) there is almost too much power. I have to string above recommended tensions to tame it. This is a huge difference from the Pro Staf 6.0 85 which I played with before. Same string had to be strung in the lower range of the recommended tension in that frame.

I'm currently trying a hybrid with poly in the mains (BB alu rough) and gut in the crosses. Less comfortable but a lot of control and more spin than a full gut job.

gut main/poly cross is the way to go if you like the character of gut rather than poly in main...
poly in main, gives you more of the character of poly, which has stiffer stringbed..... and unfriendly to TE.....
i prefer gut main/poly cross over full gut, as it gives better control and less jumppy....

I currently play with gut mains and poly crosses.
I found that I prefer crisp gut and softer poly in this combo.

Since poly is not really my choice of string, I do not like
them on the mains.

I still prefer full string bed of crisp guts to gut/poly hybrid.
