Gamma Rzr 105 - Anyone Using or Tried It?

I am surprised there isn't more talk about this racquet, but I guess it's because it's a "Gamma" racquet and there isn't much talk about Gamma racquets in general?

But the Gamma Rzr 105 got very high praise from the TW playtesters (http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/Reviews/GR105/GR105Review.html) and would be a great choice for lots of 3.5-4.0 players.
At the moment I prefer the Blade 104, but the Rzr 105 but be a better choice if you want something similar but slightly more forgiving. It's also got very good plow and respectable swingweight stock, for a oversize racquet. Its also light enough where a little lead tape here and there would easily bring it up to around 330 swingweight.

The Rzr 105 is oversized, but it's only slight so at 105. It doesn't "look" that much bigger than 100s. The power level is decent, but not quite at Pure Drive levels. I think that the open patter + the 105 headsize calls for a copoly in the mains, but it probably would do OK with any string setup.
The stiffness is slightly high (67 I think?) but it doesn't feel harsh to me at all...just "firm". There isn't much flex on contact, but it doesn't feel "boardy" either....kind of similar to the Blade 104 in that respect.

Anyway, I highly recommend checking this one out if you are a 3.5-4.5 player who likes an "all round" slightly oversized frame that can be used for almost any playstyle. It has nice touch for a sem-stiff powerful frame and provides lots of help to your game, but you still need to bring your game along too.

I would love to hear from anyone who had tried it or who is currently using it. It's really a hidden gem.

I saw on the review that the sweetspot is rather small.

Is this true? Also, does it feel polarized? Afraid the 322 swingweight feels head heavy but then, it is 1 pt HL.

I don't find the sweetspot small at all. If u look at TW map of the racquets power zone, pull see the sweetspot is rather large.

As far as polarized, it does feel a little weighty towards the ends, but not so much that its overly noticeable. I just measured the SW on the machine and it was 330, which really surprised me. It doesn't feel like that at all, maybe because of the aero beam shape. I would have guessed 320-325.

They said it wasn't very comfortable. With all the hype about poly strings, do you really want a racket that's not very comfortable? Otherwise, it looks good.

The Angell 105 ordered with the same specs (70 flex unstrung, about 67 strung) is a terrific frame and extremely comfortable; the Angell frames are all foam filled. I currently use a slightly heavier version of this frame (11.2 strung) with a little lead on the head and thoroughly enjoy it.

You have to remember these playtesters are hitting for WAAAAAY many more hours than most of us are and they all are probably a lot more sensitive to that stuff. Personally I don't find it uncomfortable at all and never noticed any harshness whatsoever. Also remember these are just the personal opinions of a few individuals and may or may not jive with your own perceptions. The flex is 67 and to me, that's not an overly stiff number.
It certainly doesn't feel like a Pure Drive or a Steam 99s to me.
