good string/tension for LM Prestige MP?

I'm using Stamina 16 right now for my LM Prestige MP at 60lbs. Strings don't feel very comfortable, and spin/power is not that great. Really the only thing that's good is it's durability. What is a good combo for pounds and string for this racket?

TIA

If you are not a frequent string breaker you can go down to 17ga string with the dense pattern of the Prestige. I have 3 customers who play with this stick, 2 of them use the Unique Tournafibre Irradiated 17, a little talked about, extremely affordable multi that plays great in the LM Prestige mid. One customer strings his at 60 lbs the other goes 59/57. I'd suggest giving this string a try. If you are a stringer you can get it directly from Unique Sports for much less than it is sold at TW. Do a google search and you may find it for a reasonable prce.

I've got this racquet; it feels pretty good with Gamma Live Wire XP 17g @ 58lbs. Nice power level, nice touch and feel.

I get more control with my Tour 90 though...

What about using an 18g string?... I've played for 6 months solid throughout the summer with my i.Prestige, and the strings are hardly worn.... they are a Head Rip Control, but don't know how thin.

I have used the Laserfibre Supreme 17g and loved them i the LM Prestige MP at 57 lbs. I tried the 16g Laserfibre Supremem and hated them in the Head LM Prestige at 60 lbs. I am going back to the 17g at the lower tension.

I switched to this LM Prestige MP racquet a few weeks ago. I had been at 58 to 60 on other midplus racquets but this LM Prestige MP really does better at 57 or maybe even 56 at least with synthetic gut. I use a constant pull laserfiber machine.

Upon the advice of some other posts I have just strung my first gut hybrid, bow brand on the mains @ 57 and synthetic on the crosses at 56. once I hit with it this weekend will post my thoughts.

BTW this is one sweet racquet especially on the groundies.

16g string is too thick for the tight string pattern of the lm prestige mp. I would advise a 17g or an 18g. I would also advise a monofilament polyester string. Wilson has the enduro tour in 17g and 18g. Very similar to the luxilon big banger, about 1/2 the price.

Great thread here, I was thinking of posting this myself this week. Let's keep it going and share thoughts on this great racquet and how to maximize it.

I have two, one of which I will be stringing with Head's Intellistring hybrid pack this weekend, just came in from TW today. I will post my thoughts on this hybrid pack in this racquet this week. I plan to play around with a natural gut hybrid soon also in one of them.

What Nat gut hybrids have you guys tried and liked, and also disliked in the LM Prestige?

I have had MUCH better success with a higher tension on the MP. My favorites so far have been Bow 17g @58lbs and Klip Lightning at 59 lbs. In my experience, lower tensions cause too much of a trampoline effect with an already flexy stick in the throat. Gut or gut hybrid at a higher tension provides a fantastic crisp feel, unbelievable control, and good power blend.

My LM Prestige MP is strung at 60 with Gosen JC 17 gauge and the stringbed feels kind of stiff. Am thinking about trying Phenom 18 in it or maybe Klip Adrenaline. Would like a string which maximizes ball bite - any suggestions?

Been using Lux Ace 18 mains with Ematrix 17 crosses at 58 lbs., but toying with some lower tensions as well. I had broken both of these strings in more open patterned sticks in the past, but really like them together in the dense patterned LM. Dropping down to 54 on the tension seems to give me some better pop and feel on the serve without giving up anything off the ground. Will know more if it ever decides to quit raining every day here in the ATL.

I hit with a LM Prestige MP over the weekend that had a poly string (Klip K-Boom?) and it really had some pop along with decent feel. I believe that it was strung at about 58lbs. I have used gut and multi's (and hybrids) but have never tried a poly on my Prestiges, mainly due to potential elbow problem strories; but I may give it a go. Any other poly/tension recommendations or feedback is appreciated.
