Greatest Highlight Video of All-Time?

I nominate this one, great quality for 2005 and it's so long too (39 minutes!), and each point in the video is super high quality. IMO, arguably the best tennis match ever played.

Any other submissions?

Btw, this video reminds me of how beastly Nadal's forehand was even as early as 2005. These are some brutal, heavy shots! Coria is a genius too, such great point construction.

Cool vid but the fact that you picked a Nadal highlight reel over Fed's is enough proof for me that you're a Nadal fan. ;)

BTW Ralph's FH is ugly as ever.

I am pretty positive that President wanted Coria to win that much given that he was sporting a Coria avatar for the past month before moving on to Uncle Rico.

Yeah, I was going to say that but decided it wasn't worth it. I think monfed is a pretty decent guy, but for some reason sees absolutely everything through the lens of Federer vs Nadal. That wasn't my intention at all when starting this thread. I just wanted to get more great highlight videos to watch! :) I hadn't actually watched that Shanghai match since it happened, thanks for posting it. Nadal seemed pretty competent that year indoors, and looked it in this video! Probably just due to his impressive speed, although some of his forehands have some kick as well (surprising on carpet). Definitely not nearly as one sided as some of their more recent indoor matches.

It was a great match. I'm not going to pretend it could have gone either way since Federer seemed like the one ahead the whole match, but Nadal, as he always does, made Federer work a lot for the win. In the 2nd set, he came up with a lot of huge shots under pressure and Federer upped the shotmaking from his own end as well.

Btw around 9:10 in my video, there is perhaps the sweetest DTL backhand winner I have seen Federer hit.

His backhand is so much better indoors, it's crazy. Indoors its clearly better than guys like Wawrinka, Almagro, and Gasquet. He just really does not like facing the elements on that wing.

I must quickly contact my eye-doctor for an urgent exam because what I see is an overly edge-enhanced standard definition video rendered with a messed-up aspect ratio.

I was talking about the quality of tennis, not the quality of the video. At least you can see the ball clearly, which is more than you can say of about 90% of tennis videos from before 2007. The sheer length of the highlight reel helps you really get into the match too, unlike most 10 minute reels.

Sure the tennis good.

But don't you hate it when people stick HD on video material that is clearly SD with a full screen aspect ratio.

OP's video is up there on the GOAT list.

My personal favorite (and Fed isn't even my favorite player) is this one:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktCBNOCG5cE

The music (Sigur Ros' "Hoppipolla") is beyond fitting.

Also a big fan of this one:

Quality is decent. There used to be an HD version, but YouTube removed it.

Fantastic choices, that Roddick vs Agassi one is a classic. Great contrast in styles, even if they were both baseliners.

It's ridiculous, you can't post anything having to do with Nadal that isn't negative that won't catch his attention and he end up making it about Federer. Anyway, Outstanding video... I really think when it comes to actual clay court tennis... that match is the best lb for lb. My fav highlight video is probably the 28minute one from AO 2012.

That tribute video is awesome. Absolutely love the music! I remember I downloaded their whole album after watching that clip LOL

Surprised this hasn't been mentioned. It is my favorite! Ridiculously clean ball-striking. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwqBKt3bgDc

This was the one of the best match I have ever seen live. The atmosphere was amazing. My other favorite live matches being Agassi-Ginepri and Federer-Blake (those were some great years).

I remember watching so many great matches live at the USO in the 2000s... unfortunately, the quality has dropped at the USO, especially the night sessions, the last couple of years :(

ummm i wouldn't be that radical... despite the aesthetic unbearability of the nadal's game, i think some 'nadal highlights' (is that what we call an oxymoron ?) can sometimes be enjoyable (the tsonganization, the soderlingement day, the delpotring, the rosol incident, etc.)... what do you think ?
BTW Ralph's FH is ugly as ever.

Just awesome.

I do wish more Roddick points were included. He had a ridiclous amount of winners as well. This highlight reel features mostly Younes' points

Yeah there were like 200+ winners in that match with Roddick having the majority (just), like a third the amount of errors. It really was one of the best matches of all time.

Anyone who says Roddick lacked talent needs to watch that match he does everything that match.

Kind of gets forgotten about because of the 2012 AO F and perhaps because the 4th set was not the best. But this was a tremendous match. Djokovic had a chance to serve it out for 6-2 6-4 7-5 and if that had happened, it would have been a clear candidate for best straight sets match ever. Brilliant stuff from both men. As it turned out, Nadal breaking back and taking the breaker sealed that third set's place as an all-time great.

Very very entertaining match to watch. Nadal really fought his hardest in the 3rd set and the crowd was just going crazy for him. In the past 10 years, I don't think I have seen the USO crowd rally behind a player that hard since maybe Agassi or Blake in 2005-2006.
