I omitted my numerical assignment so I’m now #4.Oscar winner Up Where We Belong from An Officer And A Gentleman by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes.
Warnes also did a medley with Bill Medley in the hit Oscar winning Time Of My Life from Dirty Dancing. That makes Ms. Warnes a serial Oscar winner, no?

Those finest of minds includes our own @Fedace as well as Johnny Mac... (Ya don't suppose that Fedace bailed after 1 year like JMac did, do you?)22 hours since the last prime warmup act recounting. Oh, what the hell! This wasn’t the pleasant category:
Thanksgiving Friday 1982; Citrus Bowl (now Camping World Stadium) in Orlando. The Who was the lead act for a 3-act schedule with the gates opening at noon but The Who weren’t playing until after sunset (6 pm).
All was cool for the first act: Joan Jett & The Blackhearts. They played for about an hour so it was about 2:30 pm when the next act hit the stage. Unfortunately it was about 2:45 pm when The B-52s left the stage while dodging a barrage of beer bottles. I have no idea why the redneck audience showering them with abuse and glass decided three hours without anyone on stage was preferable to hearing Love Shack and other assorted tunes imported from Athens GA, that Yankee town on the high plains of NE Georgia. Yep, three hours or more doing nothing but waiting for The Who.

Biased since it's my alma mater. SLO is very much a college town. Farmer's Market on Thurs nights was always a treat. The main street dowtown, Higuera, was closed to traffic and restaurants sold food and served drinks in front of their establishments. In addition to the fruits and produce from local farmers, there was a usually a circus atmosphere -- courtesy of Cal Poly & other students
