Not a bad get for $8. They generally don't sell for very much. $15-ish average, maybe up to $50-ish if you find someone who is really in love with that particular frame if it has very little wear. Two just sold on the bay for about $25 together if that tells you anything.
It is a wide body from the early 1990's pre-Trisys line. There was also a 660 and a 720 version. Sold along with the Discovery, the Genesis, the Polaris, the Atlantis and all the other Is-es. I think the comparable Trisys was the Trisys 230? Maybe the 210? Relatively heavy and stiff, should be about a 93" head so technically a midsize, head heavy?, stiffness of about 70? Okay for someone with very short strokes who needs some help in the power department. Sort of an odd duck with the 600 sq cm head as one would think the larger head sizes were a much better fit for a widebody.
Do a search for Ventoris, there are probably some old threads that allude to it.
The stiffness of the Ventoris was not 70. It was the one of the more flexible widebody of the era and one of the most flexible of the HEAD widebodies of that line-up. Don't forget that it was a composite of Graphite and Twaron Fiber. I still have a Ventoris 600 some where brand new with the plastic on the handle.
Yes, I was going to mention that it had Twaron (and pixie dust) in it.
70 was strictly a guess, hence the question mark, maybe is was more like 65 or 67? What would be your guess?
Flexible isn't a term I would associate with wide bodies, but, yes, relatively speaking, it was more flexible that some of the other widebodies in that lineup none of which I would consider flexible.
I looked around online for specs but none to be found since the racket is pushing 20 years old.
I liked that series of frames, played pretty sweet, nice quality
yes, i play usually with pc600, prestige pro 1986, or pt630s and this one has the same classic head feel, but agreeing a beatiful spin charge...im considering to compete with it. My game is most sure on rallyes
about 12oz strungBumping thread to see if anybody knows the rough specs of Ventoris 600? Esp weight? thanks
It was the flexible out the top tier widebody racquets of Genesis, Atlantis, Polaris, and Ventoris. All came in 600, 660, and 720 head sizes.Comp pro? Polaris maybe????
Would assume it was whatever the lowest tierd model was ..
I remember one of the guys in college played lights out with one and it was crazy flexy... Sorry I'm off the thread . Back onto the ventor 600!!
Could have sworn this was the higher marked frame in the line next to Atlantis .. Wasn't the ventoris rather expensive ?
From the above posts if one was looking for the most flexible in this series discovery is the one ?
Discovery was actually pretty sift feeling. I played with one for a few weeks. Very nice and plush feeling. It had the suspension grip. To me the softest feeling was Ventoris and Discovery. I never put them on a RDC machine but just going by memory. I also don't have a Discovery anymore.Hey TP the discovery was also called the Trysis 150 which means it was the most powerful and i'm assuming prob the stiffest of these Head widebodies.
As the Trysis numbers went up the power went down so im guessing the flex gradually went down too till you got to the PT280 and the Trysis 300?
Whats the condition? If its good then yes. head size is 102, its pretty soft, and about 12oz strungWhat are the specs of the Ventoris 660. I can buy a frame for 15 euro.
Is this a good offer?
