Head Youtek IG Radical Pro String set up

I have recently purchased a pair of Youtek IG Radical Pro rackets, I am new to using open string patterns, the only other time I tried was with the IG Instinct racket but I think I got the string set up wrong and didn't like the feel from the racket. In the past I used the head I radical Mp which I still hit with and my main rackets are the head prestige mp which have in youtek & IG. I usually use a hybrid set up at around 54 but have recently lowered it to 50-52. With the IG Radical pros I am thinking of going up to around 56, but I am very unsure on string set up. I currently have a reel of pros pro red devil 1.24 & hexaspin twist poly and was considering full poly with the red devil. As I usually use a hybrid I am looking at a synthetic gut to pair up with it. I have had a wrist injury so want to try and keep it comfortable but not too soft as I understand the Radical is one of the softer frames comfort wise?

for the past month i have been using the following combination and really like it. Not a stringbreaker so it works for me. 50 lbs Solinco TB 18G in my mains, Tourna Quasi Armour Gut 17G in the crosses, 53 lbs. Its a pretty cheap string combo and I like it a lot.

I am trying the pros pro topspin with a red devil in my prestiges soon. For the IG Radical Pros I am considering a full poly set up. I am looking at trying the kirschbaum strings, maybe the pro line 2 but don't want it too stiff feeling? Is this a good string maybe for the Radical pro although I was thinking hybrid initially based on my experience with the prestige line. With full poly, are two different poly strings an option such as a comfort poly mixed with maybe a harder poly for a compromise?

the IG Radical Pro is very comfortable, much more so than a Prestige.

Kirschbaum Pro Line II is a relatively soft polyester string, so that should work well for you. A poly/poly hybrid won't do much for comfort I fear.

Yes, I think I will try a pro line 2 full poly in the radical pro and see how that feels, any thoughts on gauge-i recall the thinner offering more comfort but a bit more fragile, I am thinking maybe the 1.25. I am still on the lookout for a decent multi for my prestiges, I will try the pros pro topspin on those. Generally is the string tension maintenance an issue with red devil? The forums mention it being soft but not great after a set time (say 10hrs) I may put a full red devil in the other radical and see how that goes.

The tension maintenance of Red Devil is pretty bad. It loses a TON of tension immediately after stringing it. At least that was my experience with Red Devil 1.19.

1.25 seems good for PL II. If you do not hit too hard/with too much spin, the 1.20 should also work.

I've been using a couple different set ups in both my IG Radical Pros. For a crisper feel I have Kirschbaum Spiky Shark @ 50 lbs and for a softer more powerful feel I use Tourna Big Hitter Rough @ 48 lbs. I prefer the Tourna for a more softer feel on the arm.

Is that Big Hitter Blue Rough or Big Hitter Silver Rough? What guage are you using? I currently use Tourna Big Hitter Blue in a hybrid at 53 with crosses at 56, and I think it still has a bit too much power. Am thinking about switching to a more lower powered, control oriented string that won't. Looking for suggestions. Just ordered Big Hitter Black Zone 17, Big Hitter Black 7 17, and Cyclone 17, so I'm hoping one of these gives me what I'm looking for.

J Wildcard, if you strung at 50-52 on the MP, then you definitely want to stay around 57 for the Pro. I string my gf's MP at 52 and I find it feels similar to my Pro at 56 or 57.
