Help - What Becker Racquet was this?

I was early for a match I had to travel to so stopped in a nearby tennis store to check out the frames. I play with a C10 Pro, both a fish net and '08 black model, so took a look at the Volkls and Beckers. They had a V1, a C10 Pro Classic, a Becker Pro, an X295 and what I thought was the Becker Legend. They were strung demos and I picked them all up and shadow swung a bit.

Now I can't figure out what the last one was! I swore it had 295g on the throat and a bigger and rounder head size than my C10 Pros. I assumed a 100 sq inch at the time. It also felt considerably lighter than the C10 but still had a nice weight to it. I really liked the way it swung. Both the Becker Pro and definitely the C10 Pro Classic felt like they had heavier swing weights.

Now I get to the computer and see the Legend specs at 333 sw and 337g static weight. Strings are only about 15g or so so this can't be the same racquet. What was I looking at?! I thought it was orange and white but now I'm starting to doubt myself and thinking maybe it was blue and white. It was definitely not the Becker Pro though and I swear it had "Legend" on it. I remember thinking at the time that I thought the Legend was a pretty hefty players racquet and being surprised how it felt.

I have no idea when I'll be down that way again...can anybody help me out as to what I was looking at?

I just saw the Becker Delta Core Junior racquet is orange and white and has "Legend" on it! I can't believe it was only 255g though...it didn't feel that light. I really thought it was marked 295g. Any thoughts appreciated.

Do you know it? The owner is a great guy...bought my first "real" racquet from him about 3 years ago. I just don't get over that way very often as traffic is usually a bear after work.

I used to live there until last summer. Great shop, great guy running it. I know he's a big fan of Volkl/Boris Becker, so you might try calling him and asking.

The Volkl Boris Becker 10 is Red/White and marked 295g. Perhaps this is what you were looking at? I play with them and like them a lot!

That is a BB10. I think the BB11 is also available in 295g, but it is orange/black.

Thanks for the suggestion dode...the specs look right but I don't think it was the BB10. It doesn't say Legend on it anywhere that I can see and the 10 looks pretty prominent...I think I would have noticed that. Thanks though! Since it was a demo it may very well have been a previous model...I guess I'll just have to be patient until I can get over there again. I was just curious b/c I've been looking for a bit lighter racquet with a bit larger head and it would be nice if it was a Volkl just b/c I generally like the feel of their racquets. I would be shocked if it was the full blown Legend though based on how it felt in my hand....but obviously I'm off on something.

I used to play the BB11 so maybe I'll try the 10 if I can pick one up somewhere. the BB11 was a bit too heavy for me and I really had to work to create spin with it...great feel and volleys though.

The BB DC Legend feels a lot lighter to me as well. I use a C10 PT racquet normally and have been playing around using the DC Legend. It is orange and some white but the "Legend" name isn't so noticeable on it. It swings lighter to me as well. Nice racquet, you should demo one. Great price as well now. I paid way more for mine when they first came out.

If this photo is the stick, pick it up cheap, or wait until February. The DC NYC is supposed to be similar.

No, that's a pic of the BB10 "dode" suggested the racquet I saw might be in post #6 above.

The racquet I held had the word "legend" on it and I thought was orange and white. I confident it was not the BB10 after seeing this picture. I thought maybe there was a light version of the Legend that TW doesn't carry but was in this store. Will look for the NYC when it comes out.

I obviously got something mixed up if there is not "light" version of the Legend b/c I also thought it had 295g on the throat. They had the Sportster there too which I see is 295g so maybe I got the specs I read mixed up between the two (Legend and Sportster).

That might just be it...that its a regular Legend after all and just feels lighter in hand than one would expect from a TW measured 333 sw. Thanks for that comparison. I'll just have to get over there again and pay closer attention and maybe take a few for a demo. The problem is in winter its hard to know with the weather how often I can get out on the courts. I can usually make at least once a week but would like at least twice when I do a demo.
