Neither machine (including any Lobster model) has any form of position recognition. They have no way of knowing where they are on the court, or whether they are on a tennis court at all.
The Spinfire sensors you refer to automatically recenter the sending unit to the body. That is indeed a useful function. The Lobster never self centers after use. That's the function of the Lobster's "test" button.
This makes using the Lobster more difficult when you want a non-centered send position, but all that is required is that you calibrate the center position, which centers the unit, then move to your new location.
