Henin hitting with new BLX in Brisbane today.

I have to say that Justine is using a customized wilson racket with powerholes. She is just using a paintjob racket to market the BLX line but it is still the same racket that she has been using for years.

Thank all Gods that Justine is back! :) I am very happy that I will see good tennis not only based on strength and yelling all the time when hit the ball.

I suppose the same could be said for Bigfoot sightings.

It has been well known for a long time...Justine doesn't change her racquet, just her paintjob. Do some searches on her racquet and you'll find lots of thread and pictures where you can see the power holes.

everyone, I'm so happy Henin is coming back, it's just a perfect time for her to come out and straighten out the womens game. The WTA needs a true champion and Justine Henin is going to be that champion. I'm not expecting a clijsters like comeback, but I think she'll be a so-so contender for the aussie, just because she's just got back on tour, but she'll be a legitimate threat for the French, Wimbledon and the US Open.

As for her racquet, I really think she's still using the same model with the power-holes just painted with the BLX paintjob, very very few pros switch from their original racquet, that's what Bob Bryan told me. And someone as serious as Justine Henin won't want to mess around with switching racquets, even if it's something as small as a technology upgrade.

I believe that I've heard that even up until she retired Henin used the same string from her junior days at the same tension for every match. Can't find where i read it though, if she was that anal about her equipment I'd have trouble seeing that she'd change racquets now.

try to check closely the rackets of justine henin... when she was using the ncode racket there were powerholes on it, when she was using the kfactor racket, there were also powerholes on it, with the BLX rackets, i'm sure it's a customized version with powerholes on it.... remember the news article of her impending comeback that she was ordering a set of wilson rackets according to her specification? that will give us an idea that justine's rackets are customized and not according to what is sold on the market.

Oh I am convinced. Now, just trying to care about it (I must confess the whole "who plays with what pj" just doesn't matter to me at all).

admit that you cared a little bit though.

Perhaps a little--but am more intigued by how much other folks care--like I said I don't view the "pj controversy" as much of a controversy (ah, but that debate is for another thread and time, not this one).

Glad to have Henin back in the game, no matter what she is swinging.

That would be fine, however, you are in the Pro Gear section of the forum.

Story on tennis.com refers to Henin adding weight to her racquet as part of changing her game for the comeback.

I know her old specs were very head-heavy. Maybe she's added some more mass to the handle since she's play more S&V style more often now.
