Karlovic leads the H2H 3-1, including that famous shock victory in the first round of Wimbledon 2003, and Hewitt will be aiming to get his first win over Karlovic on grass :)

Oh this is tough. Hewitt's settling into elder statesman stage, and does not play very often, but he seems to like the "Rocky" role where he swings to his last breath. He also likes grass.

Karlovic is a one trick pony whose trick works during this part of the season, so he's dangerous. Problem is that his ground strokes are erratic, and he can't play net.

I'll say Hewitt in three sets.

When I saw this on the schedule I immediately thought of that Wimbledon match, and it surprised me that Hewitt never got revenge for that one (although that win from 0-2 down at RG probably felt great). I assumed they would have played each other more often than that.

I'm rooting for Hewitt in 3 :D Hopefully it'll be a (dry) blockbuster.

kind of off topic, but will hewitt get to play in the olympics if his rank is that low?

They would if they wanted Australia to have a decent showing!

Mustard....Yeah the big serve. Though Hewitt had been a good returner in the past....and can change directions of the ball well. Reacts violently to pace.

Hopefully Hewitt wins....would be interesting if Hewitt can meet with Murray or Roddick.

only the top three from each country may play

Hewitt playing the part of pigeon for Ivo yet again , yet he owns Isner and has less trouble with big serves who have more all around game like DelPo/Soderling/Raonic.

Karlovic just seems able to impose his game on Hewitt more thoroughly.

22 aces in 9 service games, that's amazing even for Karlovic' standards.

You've got to feel sorry for Hewitt, he's but a shadow of his former self. Let's hope he finds some form for Wimbledon. He played a highly entertaining match against Soderling there last year.
