How Djokovic made it 21 and 7 - Wimbledon 2022 final highlights

Incredible amount of pressure on Djokovic at Wimbledon to deliver, especially after the first half of the year, and with the understanding he potentially might not play another slam until May next year. Taking on a guy who was playing some of the best tennis of his career, and was leading Novak 2-0 in the H2H with zero sets lost. Novak showed some amazing variety at times, displaying all court grass court tennis, not afraid to finish points off at the net and dealing with that monster serve.

A 7th Wimbledon title, truly the story of heartbreak followed up by triumph for Djokovic this year. Incredible scenes.

Murray Wim 10 vs Djokovic Wim 22 10 matches?

Muray Wim 10 was mentally weak, still hadn't fully recovered from the tailspin that started in AO earlier that year, Djokovic's mental strength would have eventually worn him down.

8-2 Djokovic.

Trying to make it like as if it were some uphill battle for him... Russians were banned and Nadal was injured and still beat the guy who would've have probably beat Kyrgios and got to the final if Nadal retired that match.

Was one of the weakest slams in memory.

Sinner doing Sinner things and choking like you wouldn't believe...

Norrie in the sf...

Nick "she's had like 700 drinks" Kyrgios clowning it up and imploding because his box didn't give him a 21 gun salute for getting to 40-0... come on mate... what an absolute muppet.

But still, don't get me wrong, credit where it's due, it was still a great achievement for Novak to finally pass Fed. I just don't get this narrative that it was some big battle for him... reminds me of when WWE tried to make John Cena look like the underdog, everyone knew it was all propaganda..

Djokovic's level in the final is underrated.

Djokovic is so good that he can win 7 Slams on his 2nd best surface (at just 1 Slam), become the 1st player ever to win 9 at a hardcourt Slam, and was good enough to defeat the King of Clay twice in his own den. Boss level would be quite the understatement but yea, that 7th Wimbledon after the bs he had to put with this year was a true triumph. His level in the final was also very high and the best he played on grass in at least 4 years.
