I added some lead tape to my C10 as an experiment. It didn't work out. however when i try to peel the lead off with a screwdriver it doesnt come off so easily. Any ideas or suggestions?

Comes off easily enough for me. Should just peel right off. I had a big problem getting lead off a racquet that was sitting around for years though. No solution there, whatever works and won't cause you to scrape it up too much.

It came off pretty easy for me, but I also haven't attempted to remove lead tape that was on a racquet for more than 3 months. One tip I can give is to use rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) to remove the adhesive if that remains on the racquet.

Naptha (Zippo lighter fluid) works the best, it desolves the adhesive and dries quickly. Just keep away from open flames for a few mins in a well ventilated room.

I haven't had any problems taking off lead tape but an old trick for adhesive is to hit the tape with a hot hair dryer for a few seconds, and it will loosen up old adhesive.

If you need a tool to peel off lead tape, don't use a screwdriver unless it is small are sharp. Bigger screw drivers are too blunt to take lead tape off. Just get a razor blade or knife inbetween the frame and the tape without scratching the frame. Once you have a corner of the tape separated from the frame use that corner to peel of the rest.

I don't know what kind of leadtape you use but with all leadtape all you do is peel it off with your fingers,(it's that simple) why would you use a screwdriver lol

Ice picks work wonders.

To the OP, if the lead stays on the frame for too long, it will not be easy to remove. It will break easily when trying to remove and will be pain.
I use a plastic or wooden knife and slowly try to peel off enough so that I can grip it with my fingers and patiently take it all off...

You might also try using a gentle solvent, such as isopropyl alcohol, along with the method above. That sometimes helps break down the adhesive.

i used a razor blade. but i did it carefully. no scratches from the razor blade on the frame, but some of the paint did peel off if i went too fast (figures)
