The only "light" racquet I own is a Prince TT Graphite that I think is around 11 oz - can't stand it - like hitting with a stick of Styrofoam.
Size (mass) does matter - those racquets outweigh the ball by around 7 to 1 - the ball doesn't dictate play in that case. And I don't feel vibrations, have tennis elbow, etc.
You just have to be able to get the the frames moving
