How many Masters will they finish with win? Can Novak get to 40???

This is tough, as somebody has to win them. There will be another 26 played before end of 2018, and they won't stop there. Murray has only won 4 in the last 4 years, is it therefore rational to be giving him another 6?
I know others will win them, Thiem, Kyrgios etc but still. Focusing on the older players for now

Djokovic 37
Nadal 29
Federer 25
Murray 16
Wawrinka 1
del Potro 1
Ferrer 1
Tsonga 2
Berdych 1
Robredo 1
Dimitrov 2
Nishikori 2
Raonic 3
Cilic 1

Current Masters tally

Nadal 27
Djokovic 27
Federer 24
Murray 11
Tsonga 2
Berdych 1
Ferrer 1
Wawrinka 1
Robredo 1

You mean 40 more no? 51 total sounds about right for the greatest tennis player the sport has ever seen.

He is also the greatest man who have ever lived.

I think Federer will win more MS than Nadal from now on unless Nadal plays great on clay again.

Rafa can add clay masters. They are not difficult like IW and Miami, where you need 6 wins, many players play well and are fresh and on top of that there is so much heat in Miami.

Huge respects to Novak for winning them 5 times, many after winning the AO. It is a fantastic achievement

Was looking to see how many Masters Fed had won after age 29 to see if there was consistency with the drop after age 29 at majors... the answer is no. He's won 8 since then. But still with the most finals overall.

As for Djok, how many more he gets kind of depends on the way he manages his decline. Will he just fall off the map? Or will it be a very steady thing... will he be okay dragging it out? Or just pull a Borg (albeit a couple years late).

Mine six sense tells me Novak will win 37 masters, more if Rafa continues to play after the age of 35 . They like to compete against each other, until they destroy their bodies.

Interesting. You really think Dimitrov and Nishikori, with just 1 losing Masters final between them, will end up winning more of these than 3 time finalist and 1 time winner, Wawrinka? o_O

Current Masters tally
Nadal 27
Djokovic 27
Federer 24
Murray 11
Tsonga 2
Berdych 1
Ferrer 1
Wawrinka 1
Robredo 1

Tommy Haas also has a Masters title: 2001 Stuttgart (but is not expected to add to it).

How would have reacted if I was asked after 2013 Wimbledon, how many slams will they win in the net 2 years and answered Murray 0 Wawrinka 2. ;)

Masters mean nothing. They are a nothing tournament, it only had value when Rafa or Rodger was winning the tournaments on a regular basis.

On first thought I was of the opinion he should reach at least 40 however breaking it down it would be a fair achievement & I don't think is in any way a certainty.

Obviously if he can string a couple of years like he had last yer together then 40 becomes a whole lot more realistic but that's a massive ask.

In reality though I think he will get to 40 on basis that he'll win at least 5 this year, at least 4 next year & after that he'll only need a few more which he can collect over however many season...like I said. O certainty but I think he's got enough great tennis still in the tank to do it.

22+ slams, 8+ WTF's, 45+ Masters and 350+ weeks at no. 1.

I know who would really say that in public...

I don't know man... 8 WTF titles seems too much, even if he wins this year.
Honestly, nothing would surprise me. If somebody said 30 slam titles, 50 Masters titles, 500 weeks at #1, and 10 YE#1, I wouldn’t even blink. That honestly wouldn’t even surprise me at this stage. His records are already so ridiculous ridiculous as it is. Also,‘don’t forget that he lost a lot of titles and weeks at #1, due to Covid. His records would be much closer to the above, had Covid never happened.

I see that kind reaction as a benchmark of GOATness - when sportsman blurs the limits of possibility.

I have to smile when I think all the way back to 2010 when Djokovic finished that season with just 5 Masters titles to his name, 13 less than Nadal, 12 less than Federer and 1 less than Murray. I naively thought at that time, "Wow, Murray could actually overtake him into 3rd spot come next season!" Well, we all know what happened that next season.

It's crazy how he's already gotten two out of the four on this list, and the other two are not outside the realm of possibility
