How many Slams would Federer have if Safin had been as dedicated as Rafa/Nole?

What if Marat Safin had been as dedicated and determined as Nole or Rafa, would he have won more slams? Which ones?

How many would Fed have won then?

Impossible to say. The same question could be asked about Andre Agassi as well. I don't even think the question really applies anyways, it's not because your talented and have nice strokes that it will necessarily translate into winning tournaments and dominating the field. The dedication and mental aspect of the game is just as important as talent, technique and fitness for a player to be successful.

I would say Safin would win about 12-20 slams. His victory at AO 2005 showed his complete dominance over Federer. Had Safin not gotten injured soon after, he would have smashed Nadal at the FO 2005 and went on to become the clay goat.

Safin's best results were on hard courts, not clay.

How many USOs and AOs he'd have won without injury?

Peak Federer is the peakest H*mo Sapien in the history of Primates!

Fed had Incipient Mono during AO 2005. He also had blisters on his feet!

How many stupid troll threads would you make if your father had been in a war and been killed before your conception?

After 2001, Safin fared terribly at the US Open. So I doubt he'd be able to add to his slam tally there. Maybe at the Australian Open in 2002 he could have won, but after 2006 he was injured and even more inconsistent than in his prime/peak. So one more slam.

Maybe 1 more.

However, he would have made about 17 more slam finals, likely consecutive, losing all to Federer. This would have given Federer dominance over his main rival(he would have had 1 his age), and therefore strengthen the era, giving us a definitive GOAT.

10-22 hurts, no?

I wouldn't laugh if I knew Nadal was down 1-6 on hard courts (and 2 games from 0-7) against such a GOAT like Davydenko. At least Federer lost most of his matches against Nadal after his peak years and mostly on clay. Nadal was taken down smack in his peak years all the time against Davy. Nadal couldn't even beat Davydenko when he was playing as well as he could possibly play (Doha 2010).

Actually Fed wins even more. That means Fed has to raise his level to compete with Safin. So, Fed doesn't lose to Rafa and Nole that much. Also Safin will bet Djokovic and Rafa to clear the path for Fed more.

So, Safin has 8 majors, Fed has 22 majors.

Yeah, it does. So, why do Nadal fans have to be so mean and rub it in?

I mean we Fed fans never mention or gloat about Fed's 17 majors, 302 weeks, 23 consecutive semis, 24 consecutive finals won, 6 WTFs, 2 medals, 3 seasons winning 3 majors, streak of 18 out of 19 finals, W record, 24 GS finals, 5 finals in every major...

And there is a lot more, but we Fed fans are humble, so I won't even mention it.
Because we don't do that.

My post was meant as a humor anyway. I don't have any problems with Nadal and his fans.
