Remembering all your tennis shoes is an exercise only for young guys. People who have been at this awhile have a "shoe history" going too far back to waste the brain cells on. And you young folks wouldn't know the shoes, even if we could remember them all. Who else wore the "Wilson by Bata" shoes?

I go through shoes in 2-2.5 months so I must have been through at least 25-30 pairs from 2004.

Can't recall completely, but it went something like this:

New Balance Something-or-Other: Made my toenails fall off
Adidas Barricade II: Gave my PF
Adidas Barricade V: Worked better for PF, but too heavy
KSwiss: Gave me blisters
Asics Gel Resolution: OK, but heel lifts up
Prince T22: Awesome shoe; I currently have three pairs

You find the T22 good? What kind of foot do you have? I found them to be rather uncomfortable.

Barricade 5 -red/black
Barricade 5 - Navy/yellow

Nike Breathe Cage 2 - White
brefore '07, I had at least three pairs of shoes, but I don't know what they were called... they were ok shoes compared to the cages and the Barricades

I have high arches and wear orthotics. I am prone to blisters. Normal width.

That's all I can say about my feet, other than that they are not at all sexy in any sense of the word.

LOL Exactly. But I can tell you that my first real pair of tennis shoes (c.1977) were Bata's. I think I had two pairs of Bata and then moved on to adidas Lavers. I remember having adidas Smith's in like 11th grade and I hated them and went back to the Laver.

I've been wearring Barricades for, I don't know, like 10 years now? And I couldn't even attempt to list all of them.

Oh, and my favorite shoe back in the day (80s) was the adidas ATP Futura. I remember when they were discontinued and I was in a Herman's Sporting Goods and they had the ATP Futura's marked way down. I bought the last three pairs in size 9. Only time I've ever done that.

nike city court 2 or 3 (first shoe)
wilson crossfire (2x)
adidas barricade 4 (outgrew before i could send em back)
barricade 2 (4x)
nike breathe free 2 (2x)
adidas a3 accelerator
barricade 5 (4 or 5 pair)
prince MC4 (2x)
wilson tour
nike court ballistec 1.2 (nike screwed me on a voucher)
babolat all court 3 (2x)
nike courtballistec 2.3 (current but soon to get sent back)
adidas cc genius 2 (2x one is current)
air max breathe cage 2 (first pair)

i'm probably forgetting some right now

Fun to try to remember them all.

Started in the 70s playing barefoot on clay. Then with some off-brand cheapos, keds, Jack Purcells and hand-me downs from an older cousin.
Then Tretorns, diadora, adidas Stan Smith/Laver/Nastase and K-Swiss (with the 20 black stripes - 5 on each side).

In the 80's, iirc, Soma, Superga, PUMA Vilas Topspin, adidas Grand Prix, then Pro Kennex PK Mesh (loved those but the gum soles did not last on hardcourts), then whatever free Converses, adidas or Wilson Pro Staffs were stadard issue on the college team.

In the 90's: Diadora (Becker), then K-Swiss Si-18s, then various adidas responses, then the adidas atp, the Nike NDESTRUKT (totalKRAP), then the adidas Feet You Wear, then back to the responses.

In the 2000s
Fila Rad (2nd best shoes ever) and Rad 2,
Fila Axilus,
Diadora Rebound Ace (top 3 shoes ever, for me).
adidas barricades
babolat all-court, ac2, ac3, ac4, Propulse,
Fila Alfa
Babolat Propulse 2 (best shoe I've ever worn).

I started playing as a kid in the early '70s, I'm 42 now. I probably used whatever shoes I had until the '90s I probably started buying proper tennis shoes. Since the early '90s I can not recall how many I have but I can say I play once a week and my tennis shoes last about 1.5 years so I guess since say 1993 I can divide 17/1.5 and get 11.3333 pairs of shoe but rounded I'd say 11. I am starting to play more per week, maybe twice per week so maybe my shoes will last 3/4 of a year now.

I have no brand name loyalty. I buy whatever I like. I used to have brand name loyalty to Diadora until they went and changed the pattern and the toe got too narrow and also until they stopped being a seller in the US. You can get them here but only in a few places. Unless Diadora changes they will be on the way out in the tennis world.

I can still remember my first pair of legit tennis shoes, the Dunlop Volley which I think were marketed here in the US at the time as the Ken Rosewall autograph. Competed against the Adidas Stan Smith autograph which looked better but didn't wear as well.
