What's his draw?No way of knowing until we see his form in his second round match. He has quite a challenging draw as well.
Peaked quite well at 20 Majors. Not many others have managed to peak that often. If Mirka allows him to play he will win it. This is the type of tournament he peaks.
I fancy him to win it. Qatar is pretty fast and i think he will be up at the net alot and none of the players in the draw will deal with that type of tennis. No way of knowing until we see his form in his second round match. He has quite a challenging draw as well.
Coric will be big test there. Get through that fancy him to go all the way.Draw: Evans/Chardy, Coric, Shapo and Thiem/Rublev.

Rumours i have heard are he looks excellent and has a much more net orientated game. Expect to see some sumptious volleysI have no expectations at all lol
We don't know anything about his level.
Early lossHe's never been out of the game this long. What can we expect in his first tournament?
What rumors? There’s been nothing on social media or Swiss media about his current level.Rumours i have heard are he looks excellent and has a much more net orientated game. Expect to see some sumptious volleys
I saw a post on twitter about 4 weeks ago about his volleying. Cannot remember who posted it.What rumors? There’s been nothing on social media or Swiss media about his current level.
He’s 4-2 against Coric, that’s daddy level?Nightmare draw for Federer, two of his daddies in the QF possibilities.
This is an interesting prediction coming from you. Finally starting to use my method?Until I see a single point from him I'm saying he'll lose his first match to Evans/Chardy.
Thinking a 39 year old player will be rusty and lose his first match back in over a year after double knee surgery is a little different from thinking the current world #2 will lose every match he plays. This is an interesting prediction coming from you. Finally starting to use my method?
Post of the day! That’s epic!Thinking a 39 year old player will be rusty and lose his first match back in over a year after double knee surgery is a little different from thinking the current world #2 will lose every match he plays.
I should also point out that the reason Roger returned to the Hoppman Cup in 2017 was that he knew he'd be rusty and could realistically lose his first match back, and he wanted guaranteed match play that the Hoppman Cup provided as opposed to a real tournament like Doha. Obviously there was no choice this time around.Thinking a 39 year old player will be rusty and lose his first match back in over a year after double knee surgery is a little different from thinking the current world #2 will lose every match he plays.

I missed Federer but also handwringerers. Can't wait to see the return of those panic attacks over everything next week.Until I see a single point from him I'm saying he'll lose his first match to Evans/Chardy.
Federer has 3 things working against more this time than in 2017I should also point out that the reason Roger returned to the Hoppman Cup in 2017 was that he knew he'd be rusty and could realistically lose his first match back, and he wanted guaranteed match play that the Hoppman Cup provided as opposed to a real tournament like Doha. So I'd say I'm being about as realistic as he was in 2017. Right now I'm not assuming he'll win his first match, but if he does I'll re-evaluate my opinion about his prospects going forward instead of doubling-down on my negativity like some do.

That‘s why I lose all the time!Depends on whether he can run or not.
Simple as that.
No amount of racket skill can help if you can't get to the ball.

There were plenty of Djokovic handwringerers at the AO, so you didn't miss themI missed Federer but also handwringerers. Can't wait to see the return of those panic attacks over everything next week.
Oh I know, don't worry they all got a piece of my mind in match threads and chats lol. I was only referring to Fed's now. There were plenty of Djokovic handwringerers at the AO, so you didn't miss them
But roger's first slam will be rg so no way he wins that but if wimbledon is his 1st tournament then it could turn trueFunny thing going around on Twitter with Fed / Dan evans
First match Fed played in 2017 was Dan Evans at Hopman cup and we know what happened
Possible first match Fed plays in 2021 against Dan Evans too
gotta love the dedication ya'll have lol I mean the little things people find is crazy
