Hybrid options w/ Yonex PTP

I've played with a full bed of YPTP for over 18 months and I'm willing to test an hybrid setup to test up something a bit different. (I have a Yonex DR98)

My idea was to maintain Yonex PTP on crosses and wondered which other poly would be great for the mains:
-> Major requirement for main is - not too stiff.
-> Has to bring a visible difference or advantage compared to full YPTP.

Any Suggestions?
Yonex Spin (blue) + Yonex PTP ?
If anyone tried Signum Pro Tornado 1.23 / would it match with YPTP 1.20 ?

Thanks,

VCT 16g, dunlop black widow 16 or 17g, hyperG soft 16L/17 are some good soft copolys...I would recommend stringing as low as possible while still being able to keep the ball in the court. It will feel like a pillow and as long as you have proper brushing technique, the ball will explode off your racquet. One thing to consider, VCT 16g will make hoop feel heavier so take that for whatever it’s worth. Dunlop black widow will have more power and slightly more spin than hyperG soft but HGS more control and better tension maintenance/playability duration.

In the next couple of weeks I will try out Black Widow mains 1.31 with YPTP 1.25 crosses, I hope it will give me a little bit of control to the extra spin and power BW produces. And it should be really soft.

try natural gut. youll be surpised at the longevity of it.
1.30 / 1.25 is a common matchup, if not 1.25 / 1.20

if you're convinced you want (soft) poly, i've never tried it but cream seems to be popular.

I think (have not tried it) Kb PL Evolution would work very well as a main, crossed with PTP, it has imo better spin and power output and even tho the stiffness rating is a little higher it really feels as comfortable as softer strings.

PTAir would be even softer than Cream, but both would be a good option to try as well.
